Penta TP5 players...best replacement

Ive done the best I can to stock up on my favorite golf balls since TM shut down production of the Penta tp5 in favor of the Lethal model. For those that played the 5 what ball have you found since that suits you best?

The Lethal replaced the TP5. It has since been replaced by the Tour Preferred X (I believe). Lethals can be found at a pretty good price at many outlets.

Tour Preferred is a superb ball. Used one today in a 25mph wind and it was stable and easy to knock down.

Lethal was a different animal than TP5, Lethal has much less green side spin... The new TPx is much closer to TP5. If perhaps you are looking for a touch more approach spin than TP5, you may also want to try TP (non x).

I've switched to the b330s. I'll let you know for sure how they compare after a few more rounds, but so far I am pleasantly pleased.

I agree that the TP5 spins much more off wedges and irons than the Lethal. To an extreme, in fact. I thought the TP5 was one of the highest spin balls I've ever hit on full swings with 8-iron through the wedges. Lethal is more what I'd consider average or normal "Tour" ball spin like a ProV1 or similar.

I still play the prov1x but I really do like the TP5. For me its very close behind the prov1x.

i really like tp5 but theyve become kinda difficult to find around where i live.
i tried the lethal practice balls (20 bucks a doz) last weekend and it was pretty much the same as tp5.

Played the 5, now playing lethal, when the new TM ball comes out next year, i'll most likely jump on the TP. i have played all three, and they all feel identical to me, at 25 a dozen I'll stick with lethal.
