So I want to ask about the jaybirds and how they work going over the ear, as it seems that puts the volume controls and mic behind your ear. Is this the case?

I did see the jaybird bluebud x's last night at Sam's Club for $135 with a $20 iTunes gift card.

They don't stay in your ear when you swing. The chord will get stuck on your neck bc it's so long and jossle the buds from your ear. I loved the sound quality but sold them on eBay after 2 weeks because they were useless for why I bought them (golf and working out)

Just get the Beats 2, you'll be much happier with the purchase. Only downside with them is that they suck for watching video bc there is a lag, with that being the downside, they are great for music and stay in your ear

That lag is fixed with the last iOS update.

the Conply foam tips are perfect for working out. they come in 3 and 5 sets. they block out more noise than other tips. 1 set of tips last me a good couple of months. that's with about 3 days out of the week use and occasional soap/water clean and air dry overnight.

The Jaybirds sound great once I found the right fit. More bass and clarity than I expected. I wonder when I sweat how well they will stay in. I'll order some comply tips. They have all new ones on their site now. "Sport" ones

Thanks for the updates. Do you think they'd be ok when golfing? I would wear mine mostly at the range as I don't listen to music while actually playing?

I may have to go buy some today, I see they're on sale at best buy for $135.

Yup. The black ones are on sale online but weren't in store for me but I wanted the white ones. BB prices matches Amazon so $135 won't be hard to get in any color.

I plan on using them for golf for sure this summer.

I just got a pair of Sol Republic ear buds in white. Can't beat the sound for the price of around $75. The wires are flat so it's meant not to tangle and I've had no issues with them falling out of my ears while golfing. Oh and I bought mine before they paid Tiger to endorse lol

I've had the BlueBuds for about a month now and use them to do crossfit workouts about 4 days a week. I actually don't mind the regular tips, they fit me nicely and I don't have any discomfort. Once you get the right fit they're great and easily adjustable. Sound is excellent for a bluetooth headphone and the range is great. They stay in better than I would have thought. I don't have to fiddle with them even when doing burpees, etc.

I can't wait for summer to come so I can have more freedom on the range. The cord on my past headphones used to drive me crazy.

Really debating on what type of Bluetooth headphones to get, mostly for the range but could make an appearance for a quick walking 9 by myself. I have a thing about spending more than 50 bucks for headphones. I just don't think it's necessary. So what are some budget sets of Bluetooth headphones? A lot of the ones mentioned here border on 100 or more bucks.

I've been having connectivity issues lately with my Powerbeats 2 Wireless and my iPhone mothership-- it tends to cut in and out quite frequently and I haven't found any success as far as troubleshooting goes. Anyone else experience this?

The woot daily deal earlier this week featured the Motorola S11 wireless around the neck fitness buds so I pulled the trigger for $34 and free shipping. I will post my thoughts on these in a review when I get them.

    Reviving this thread...

Took a flier on the the 25.00 Soundpeats bluetooth earbuds off Amazon. They aren't Jaybirds but they might be the best bang for the buck I've ever spent. They're a little bulkier than the high end stuff but they are plenty "thumpy" with a great sound stage and very respectable highs and mid range at this price point. The battery life for my listening level is about 7 hours and ear fins provided work great..

For a fugal guy that often buys something and then looks for a reason not to like it, I can't recommend these enough.

I just picked up a pair of zipbuds. The zipbuds are wired with a slider to adjust the fit of the cord. I haven't tried them on the range or with any physical activity yet but they sound very good. I can't compare them to Bose, Beats or J-birds to know if they are that good.

They were discussing them on PGA radio so I jumped in to give them a try.

I used to own beats by dre.....wasn't really impressed with those.

I recently bought a $24 pair of sony in ear buds - they're the "extra bass" model. Pretty fantastic sound for a $20 pair. I'd recommend those. I leave them in my golf bag for practice and solo play. Best for the money i've seen

I have been using the Jaybird Bluebud X for 3 years. Love them. However the right ear bud shorted out due to sweat. They have a life time warranty if they short out and waiting to hear back from Customer Service.

Also I'm looking at the new (not yet released) Bragi Dash ear buds. They are designed for working out and are truly wireless. They have a 4 GB internal drive so you can download music to the buds so you do not need your phone.

Bose 100% any of the in ear style buds are perfect. They sort of act as outside noise cancelling as well so you won't get disturbed while working on the game. In addition to the sound quality being top notch, these are incredibly comfortable in your ear and will not irritate if they are in for a long time
