Ecovie Golfballs - Special Dimple Design

I was surfing on the internet when I found this site here:

This is a ball company from Japan. The balls seem to have a very special dimple design - the "dimple" looks like a flower.

Ecovie has two different models: the SOLDIER and the ecoviePURE. The PURE is available in 2 and 3 piece. The 3 piece seems to have an urethane cover.

Ecovie claims that their balls are 10-15% longer than anything else.

Those anyone of you had the chance to hit them or already playing them?

Never heard of that company before, but it looks interesting. The only issue I find is that you have to email them to inquire about ordering, which is never a good sign...that usually means lots and lots of monies.

I was thinking the same thing. I just don't like the idea of having to order golf balls when I need them. When I'm in a pinch can just go to the store and buy them, not wait 5 days to get them.

Reminds me a bit of the old Maxfli DDH II golf balls. The principle was that the ball would always be presenting an identical dimple pattern to the wind, making it stay online better. I sure used to love those balls.

Yep ... really loved the DDH Tour100 balls. Long, spinny, and reasonably durable.

Now you're talking. Back when I first got into golf over 30 years ago the DDH was hugely popular. Back then the only players balls were balata which were nigh on unplayable for anyone over a 4 cap, and were way too easy to damage for most players (the slightest hint of a thin shot and you got a snmiley face) so the 2 piece surlyn were all the rage with the majority of players. Back then the DDH was one of the big five, along with top flite XL, Slazenger B51, Hot Dot and Pinnacle. Good memories.

The older DDH series came in various models. The DDH II, DDH III, and some other variations were decent for that time period. But the Tour 90 and Tour 100 were top rate balls. They did still have a surlyn cover but were "blended" (whatever that means) and had an adequate amount of spin for that time period.

Going to go hit them at the course tomorrow. Quite a few of these available on eBay too if you want some S&G.
