KBS Tour V Shaft Bands

I'll get right to it. I ordered a KBS Tour V x-stiff through a club fitter to have installed on my Ping Eye2 XG. The shaft band said "KBS Tour V" on it only, as opposed to the Tour V's that I got from Callaway, that say "120g X". I don't care about the cosmetics at all, but I want to make sure that I am playing the x-stiff in that specific shaft.

It feels the same, but I am not sure i would notice 115g v 120g from just feeling it in my bedroom. I haven't taken it out to the course yet, just want to know if anyone else has seen this.

I have an answer.

[size=3]"The shaft decals from the club manufacturer shafts include the flex on them for retail store purposes. It is so you can tell what the flex is when it is on their racks the after market labels do not include the flex."[/size]

Yes, OEM's use the flex designation but after market KBS Tour series has no flex on the bands.

I just found this thread via the search function as I had a similar question. Have confirmed that shafts ordered directly from KBS and installed after-market do not have flex indicated on the Tour-V label. I put a Tour-V 110 into a 62* Fourteen V5 - really nice ballflight, much better than the KBS Wedge shaft I had been using prior.

Just found this thread nearly four years later..thanks for posting. Bought a set of KBS Tour V shafts and was confused about the shaft band labels just saying KBS Tour V by FST, not including the weight and flex. Kind of a bummer for future resale, but I guess any future buyer will have to trust me.

+1 here too. Bought a set of Miura's that a shop built for me and the band shows 'KBS Tour V by fst' but when I was fit for the shafts (at CC) the bands showed 'KBS Tour V 120 X.' Very very confusing....
