I need new Scotty Cameron plate screws

I recently bought a used Scotty Cameron Select GoLo 5 and it was missing one of the screws that secures the sole plate, another one of the screws is stripped but I think I will be able to get it out if I can find replacement screws. I have called numerous golf shops and they don't carry them and even called the Scotty Custom Shop and have not been able to get an answer. Does anybody know of anyplace online where I can order these screws. I have noticed that two of the screws are a little bit longer than the other two. I have had no luck finding anything.

The thread size is not the problem. Between local hardware stores, Home Depot or Lowes or a machine shop if one is available, someone will have something. However, finding that thread size with the same size pan head (with Allen slot if that matters) is the tough part. I needed to find one a while back when I was refinishing a Golo and couldn't find an exact match as far as the head goes.

It's unbelievable how hard it is to find the exact same screws. The allen slot wouldn't matter that much to me except if for resale purposes. To some, different looking screws might equate to a counterfeit putter.

I'm about to be on the hunt for screws for my 2014 fastback. Let me know if you have any luck finding screws.

It looks like a button head. Grainger.com might have it. Google otherwise. You need to measure the screw. I doubt they get screws made specifically for them, so you should be able to find it. Good luck.

Try McMaster-Carr. They have an enormous fastener catalog.

I would guess the stripped screw isn't a stripped screw, but rather the threads in the putter head itself are stripped.

I talked to a guy at The Scotty Custom Shop. You have to send your putter in to have it worked on to get replacement screws, they cannot send them out separately.

Typical, and absolutely ridiculous. Must really be trying to get a stranglehold on the small sole plate screw market

Do you have a bolt place around you that just specializes in just bolts and screws?

You could try a Fastenal store.

I have tried 2 hardware stores, a gunsmith, and a Fastenal store. None of them have the screws. The problem with the online catalogs is I don't know the specs on the screw so I don't know exactly what to order.

I will reply here so it can help others out. I went to a bolt place in Austin Texas called american bolt found the screws there. They are exactly them. Then went to fastenal and order from them. I am on mobile site so don't know how to post link but you can copy and paste.

No problem guys. I bought a bunch when I ordered mine felt stupid ordering 2 for 14 cents. I was going to try and make a profit but maybe the golf gods will bring me more then money. I know how much it drove me crazy trying to find them.

I would assume they are but any word whether these golo screws are the same as my 2014 fastback screws? Thanks in advance

Great stuff, quick question as well...where can I find replacement screws (the three screws on the back) for a Newport buttonback? Just want to make sure they're easily available before I start modifying the putter.

I wanted to bump this thread as I recently needed new sole plate screws for my GoLo 5 and using the link above from another member I was able to order in these screws from my local Fastenal store. These are the exact same button cap screws that Scotty Cameron must use when these putters leave the factory and they are an exact match. Here is the link to Fastenal's website.

Josh beat me to it. Just took 2 Scotty's by my local Fastenal and they ordered the screws I needed. Had to buy 100 of them, but they were only 11$.

My store said I could order in as many or as few as I wanted so I got 24 for $1.78.

so i stripped 3 out of the 4 screws on my golo 5... i used a 1/16 allen wrench but the one screw that actually came out was way shorter than the one i see on the fastenal website... so i have 2 questions, did i use the correct tool to attempt the removal of the back plate... and do i need this screw and the other screw size as well?

any help will be much appreciated

The link above is the correct screw for the sole plates of the GoLo 5s.

1/16 allen wrench is the correct size. The screws are easy to strip if you do not head them up a little first to break loose the epoxy that holds them in. Also, when removing, the trick is to apply downward force like you are pushing into the screw with the allen wrench while turning at the same time.
