Help moving away from urethane balls.

It's become apparent that I can no longer play a urethane ball. Due to the wetness of the greens at my home course and my spin rate, I continually spin balls back 15-25 feet with anything lower than 8iron.

So can anyone recommend a non-urethane ball that has chips, putts, and pitches similar to a urethane ball.

You may not need to move away from urethane. Try the Bridgestone B300rx.

There are no "non urethane" balls that will spin close to a urethane ball, believe me I've tried and tried; but 3 pc. surlyn/ionomer balls that have a tad more spin than others within the same category that I've tried = Srixon Tri Speed Tour. Not sure about your swing speed and what ball(s) you are used to, but I've also had some luck w/ the Top Flite Gamer Tour. It's softish and does not have as much spin into the greens as other urethane balls. Of course YMMV.

I agree with the Gamer Tour and it is one of my favorites, but if you want to stick to non-urethene the Gamer and NXT Tour both perform well.

Simply play the shot that conditions require. Often you can't hit a full shot into a green. Simply learn to play a stronger club with a slower swing. This will take spin off the ball. Its much easier to reduce spin on a urethane ball than to try to add spin to a surlyn ball. Moving away from urethane will cost you in playability.

Not going to happen, I'm a good ball striking low Handicap, but I'm not going to hit a shot tour pro's struggle with just cause the ball may spin back too much. Especially when I have a yardage that is perfect for a full swing. I'd rather change the ball.

Try a sleeve of the 2014 NXT tour or tour-s. It has a unique trajectory - it sails far and then drops almost vertical. Not the best for roll out on drives but it holds greens.

The only non-urethane ball I will play is the Callaway Supersoft. The ball is very good everywhere and ridiculous for the price.

[/quote]What ball are you currently playing? I'm by no means a fan of bridgestone, but based on what I've read and heard the b330 may be a fit for you.
