Grabbed a Rogue head to combine with a Tensei Blue

I wish I had tried this combo. I got a Rogue with the stock Synergy and it was no good at all. I’ve used the Tensei blue in my last few drivers but I hit the synergy well in the sim so decided to try it. Ended up selling it and getting a g400 max with the Tensei in it and it’s a bomber but I have a feeling I would’ve loved the Rogue with the Tensei just as much!

The tensei blue pro totally changed my z545.

Took a drive down the road to the LGS in a town I used to work. Usually has a decent selection of pre-owned, and ive been dealing with them for repairs for a few years now.

Found a very gently used set of Mizuno MP-64's with DG 300S shafts. Minimal bag chatter or dings overall for a decent deal

Also picked up a vintage Cally Big Bertha Warbird 5-wood with the uniflex steel shaft.

Finished it off with 9 Golf Pride CP2 Pro Jumbo grips. Just finished installing them after supper, cant wait for them to cure a bit and go test these out later this week

Thanks, It's sort of a cheap experiment to add to my Fairway wood/Hybrid lineup. A few courses that I play just don't demand the 3W, so that left a bit of a gap to fill . Figured this 5-wood (18*) could be a good fit, giving me lots of potential setups. I now have a 3W (15*), 5W (18*), 3H (19*) and 4H (21* adjustable to 22.5)) that I can pick and choose from (along with the struggling 4-iron); that area of the bag has always been a struggle to make up.

I also prefer a deeper-faced 5W. I've tried various newer 5-woods and the lower CG's and lower profile just launched it way too high for me. It's funny though, I prefer that setup in my 3-wood (my Ping G20 is fairly shallow) but not vice-versa.

New weapons. Got a great deal for my clubs: $95 each, plus they gave me $40, $40, and $20 for my MD3 Milled SW, LW and my Jaws GW respectively. Way more than the PGA trade in value.

Now if only it would stop raining. I cant wait to test them out. They felt amazing on the monitor.

Picked up these irons and bag today.

Mizuno mp59, dynamic golf sl s300 shafts, mp t11 wedges 52,56,60 same shafts. And an old Ping L8 bag. Got the irons for 250 in great shape. Some minimal surface rust in the cavities. But should clean up. Gotta get the shafts cut down an inch and get those huge MCC midsize plus 4s off of them and they will replace my j36s and Adams wedges. Also toying with the idea of making the 52 1° strong and 60 1° weak to make the gapping better since it's a 46° pw. The bag will be my light duty carry bag for when I play at my dad's home course. Which I only need around 7-8 clubs to play.

thanks man. I just hope the low bounce doesn't effect me to much. I'm pretty steep with my wedges. But most of the courses are playing firm right now. Also these shafts hit really high compared to the px 6.0 flighted. Will definitely take some getting used to. Will do a side by side when I get them back.

I did struggle with the 58* in bunkers with fine dry sand, as I needed a wider sole. However, the 56 and especially the 60* look to have a wider sole from what I remember (did I mention I really, really like the look of that 60*? image/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' /> ).

The 50*, 52* (I also had a 52*, which I had forgotten about), and the 54* were all great performers for me, and in fact I think the 54* was the best 54* wedge I have played. Great on full shots, and also easy to chip with.

I'm pretty steep as well, but I don't recall having a problem with those wedges in firm conditions.

Yeah, don't worry about a low bounce LW on the wet coast. I used to have a Vokey 6004 playing just north of you. And, I probably had the steepest attack angle of anyone. Just try to have a higher bounce option in the bag along with it.

Actually, you live close to one of my favorite courses, I'll likely never get to play again, Meridian Valley CC. Ever play there?
