I don't see how anyone could even entertain the idea of spending a quarter of that price on a tool that repairs ball marks. Simply insane to spend $100.

I just bought a repair tool that performs very similarly to this, but was not as costly. Couldn't be happier with it. Pics attached:................

That thing is sick...but in no way worth that kind of coin.

I'd buy one if they were in $40 ballpark.

I have one and ended up not paying the full price because I had some bounce back cards totaling $80 bucks because I had bought some Oakleys months prior. Didn't want any clothes or other sunglasses so I got the ball repair.

To be honest it looks cool and is quite heavy but I noticed a few problems right away. One is the spring mechanism seems cheap and I could see this thing not springing out nice and quick after awhile similar to the Divix ball repair. The other thing is there is a little bit of wobble in the prongs in the extended position so over time I can see this thing breaking down with repeated use.

These are my observations and hopefully they do NOT come true. But at $100 dollars, I would think it shoulda been made much cleaner and sturdier.

People spend their money different ways, you guys need to get over it.

this... some people go and spend $100 at a bar with no second thoughts... and all they get out of it is a hangover and a fake phone number or two.

I agree with this 100%. I bought one from the Oakley website a few weeks ago after seeing it for the first time on WRX. I bought it to replace my trusty SC pivot tool.

It does look awesome and is undoubtedly cool to flick the prongs out but as said the mechanism does seem a bit flimsy. I hope it lasts for a while.

One thing I do like about it is not getting pronged in the leg when it is in my trouser pocket.

Just doesn't seem to be a good value at all. I've got a $12 tool from Cigars International that has a ball marker, bottle opener, cigar prongs and divot prongs. Once I filed the prongs it doesn't dig into my leg. The Scotty Tool has the same bling factor for $15.

I guess if people are paying $300 for a Scotty headcover it's not all about cost effectiveness. But the people I play with wouldn't even notice or care.

If you are looking for a valued added divot tool then this oakley tool is not it. I love mine though and it has worked flawlessly for me. I have had a few people on the course comment on how cool it looks. I got this tool and another oakley divot tool for a little under $100. I had some credit to burn so this is what I selected.

Not saying much for your game if they're commenting on how cool your divot tool is. And I'll stick to my original statement, which is my opinion, when saying it's insane paying $100 for a divot tool, but I have a serious question......Do you wipe your a** with fifties?

Lmfao. You don't know the guys I play with, they notice all the gadgets I show up with and always ask about them. As far as my game goes, let me know if you are ever in the Midwest, I'll be happy to show it to you in person:). A $100 for a divot tool is not a big deal really. This is the Wrx man, money is never a object when it comes to golf gear.

I'm known to be a gadget man.

My "club caddy" hangs from my cart, on a carabiner clip, a lot of questions are asked about my "Golf Winter Tees" when I whip them out on the course and especially the driving range.

Sounds like my stepdad's golf cart. I noticed he had a compass stuck on his golf cart one day, so I just had to joke about him venturing so far off the beaten path to find his ball that he needed a compass to get back to the fairway. I refer to people like that as gear geeks.

I'm always down for a competitive round of golf, but the closest I'll come to playing the midwest these days is changing planes in Chicago on my way to Upstate NY. I know plenty of "golf rich" guys, but they usually restrict their big spending on green fees and clubs. I have an account with and get significant discounts through Oakley's US Standard Issue, so I use a lot of their products including their cart bag. Kudos for supporting Oakley's golf line. I'm a huge fan of their golf apparel, sunglasses and inexpensive t-shirts that I lounge around the house in. I'm okay with not looking as :pimp: as you when fixing my ball mark though.

I just checked Oakley's Standard Issue website and I'm surprised they offer it. I can get this tool for $60. Still ridiculous, IMO.
