"Roll" 18......Best Bag for PushCart?

I have a Sunmountain C130 that works well with a Clicgear 3.0. The only real problem is the clubs get in the way of the console, due to the reverse orientation of the top, designed for riding carts. Thinking about getting a Sunmountain Sync bag, which is basically the C130 but with a normal top, designed for push carts.

I recently purchased a Titleist Ultra Lightweight stand bag. Current model with the 3 way top. Then my wife/kids got me a Clicgear 3.5 for fathers day. Initial thoughts were....ahh crap now I need to get another bag and I just got this one!

After a few rounds with the ultra lightweight and 3.5 and this setup definitely works well for me. I have no issues with the 3 way top and this cart pulling/replacing clubs. I've also never had a push cart before, but there are no bag twisting or bag leg issues (and I haven't used the leg lock strap). For reference I carry the full assortment of 14 clubs and my putter has a slim super stroke grip.

Good luck in the hunt.

ClicGear makes their own Bags.....if you go with a Tour/Staff Bag ClicGear makes a Tour Bag Bracket Kit basically it relocates the top bracket out about 6" and the bottom part the Bag sits on is differen too............Link to ClicGear Bag ~ http://www.ebay.com/itm/Clicgear-B3-Golf-Cart-Bag-White-NEW-Free-Shipping-/191245922188?pt=US_Golf_Bags&hash=item2c87252f8c

I recently purchased my Bennington WFO cart bag from Roger Dunn Golf (via Amazon) and I have been incredibly satisfied. It sits great on my Clicgear 8.0 and holds the clubs in place to severely reduce chatter. Also, the price is excellent.

I use a Sun Mountain Hybrid with my Clicgear 3.0 and think it's perfect. The bag fits perfectly on the cart, has a spacious top, and is outfitted with legs for trips to the range. I also fitted mine for double straps instead of the single strap for rounds that I feel like carrying, but this might actually be more of a hindrance if one plans on pushing all the time (for the record, though, I never have an issue with the double straps being in the way whenever I push).

I have been looking online (GolfTown, Golfsmith, ClicgearUSA) and all their B3 bags are on backorder until the end of August. Doesn't make sense, but they are...
Its a shame as I wanted to grab one too.

I second the vote for Ping's Traverse bag. Budget Golf has them for $134.50 w/free shipping. I ordered mine on Wednesday night and received it on Friday. Granted, I live in the neighboring state, but they still ship things quickly, as both my son and I have purchased a couple other things from them. See link...

Has anyone tried the SM Sync bag? I like how the top has the reverse orientation so the taller slots are towards the outer side of the bag and the shorter wedge slots are closer to the strap side. I believe this is one of the only bags specifically made for a push/pull cart? Are there any others specifically made like this one?

The molded bottom of the sync bag sort of locks into my 3.0 clicgear. Bag doesn't twist at all. It would probbly stay put even without the straps. I lengthened the top strap which has almost no tension on it. Bottom strap was not modified.

Plenty of pocket space. Large putter well has more than enough room for my oversized tiger shark putter grip. I've got about 30-40 rounds on it so far with no issues, other than figuring out what pocket I put things in. I recently color coded a couple of the zipper pull tabs to help my memory.

Club configuration, from left to right starting at the top.
Driver, 4 wood, 4 hybrid, 6 iron
7 wood, 5 hybrid, 7 iron, 8 iron
Gap wedge, empty, 9 iron, pitching wedge
lob wedge,sand wedge
Clubs on the right side and bottom are my short game clubs. The 6 iron and 8 iron for chip and run shots, and wedges for chipping, pitch shots, and bunkers.

+1 Ping Traverse. I also recently got a clicgear 3.5+ and didn't love the way my stand bag fit. So this week I bought a Ping Traverse from Budget golf on eBay. I picked up the 2013 model for $124.95 with free shipping.

Actually, this is my first post ever, and felt obligated to post because this forum helped me make my decision.

Another +1 on the Ping Traverse. Very light weight for a cart bag, yet has plenty of pockets and space. Very stable on my Clicgear RV1C. Only issue for me is I like to walk/carry on occasion...

Any additional thoughts on the latest Ping Hoofer 14 (or the 5 way divider for that matter as the bag is essentially identical other than the top) on a Clicgear? I find it to be a bit of a pain to keep switching clubs from the cart bag to the stand bag. I realize the cart bag will work better on the Clicgear, but it seems like the new Hoofer might be a good compromise. Seems to have plenty of pockets for a stand bag while remaining relatively light. I wouldn't mind just having one bag...

The biggest advantage of the sync bag results in the only negative. The sync bag is specificly designed for push carts and works great for the intended use.

People using push carts are a minority within the golfing ranks. Golf retailers try best to satisfy the masses, not niche areas.

I was unable to find a retailer within 200 miles of me that had a sync in stock.

Golf galaxy was more than willing to order one in, which I wouldn't have to accept. At the time they could only order in the 2014 model even though it was late in the summer of 2013.

I lucked out because one of 300 members at my local course, had a sync that he used on a clicgear. I was able to test the fit of my putter grip in his bag. I also checked the stability of the bag in the cart.

I ordered a 2013 model from an online authorized retailer to get the canary yellow color. The color was being discontinued for 2014, and Sun mtn. had zero left in stock of that color.

I'm not a real fan of the color choices that are offered in the 2014 sync model. If I was able to see them in person, maybe my opinion would change.

My last four bags going back into the late 1980's. Eclipse, Eclipse plus, MPB, and sync. I'm a fan of Sun Mtn, because, even the eclipse bags could still be used today after hundreds of rounds.
