After seeing the new pics of these I'm not sure they would sit between covert forged and pro combo. Look more like modern spin on a blade than anything. They don't look more forgiving than PC to me.

Agree, looks more blade like than even the Pro Combos. Was really hoping for a smaller covert forged type iron.

These look awesome, too bad I don't have the game to play them. I wonder where they're going to fit in Nike's iron lineup though

Don't add plastic badges. It's pretty sweet without a ton of bling and flashy colors. A smaller swoosh logo would be an improvement. Nice looking as is IMO.

And maybe round out the heel a bit.

I'll demo them once they're available.

Great pictures. I think they look good. As long as Nike leaves them like this & not add any badges.

Those look great. Never looked at Nike until lately. Maybe I should open my mind.

Those top lines and shapes are simply gorgeous, wait we are still discussing golf clubs, right?

Really intriguing design too, trying to pack some punch low while keeping the tops thin.

I agree with others, don't add any badges. They look great. It'll be interesting to see if Tiger or Rory bag a full set.

I have never cared for Nike irons. But these look impressive...very nice!!!
  • PuppetmasterPuppetmaster Members Posts: 14,944 ✭✭
Wait, so Noh's are a "solid" design, as seen here:

But the ones Nike Tweeted of Rory's 2-iron have some sort of pocket:

I'm guessing only one of these will make it to retail, and would probably put money on the ones with the pocket. Unless that was specific to the 2-irons only.

Here was another angle from the other thread:

Either way, pretty exciting design here.

These look solid, as everyone said I think a lot more people might appreciate Nike irons with a more classic blade look without the added logos and badges. I'd bag a set of these given the right circumstances.
  • eppeyeppey Members Posts: 1,237 ✭✭
Kind of tough to see but do these look really low bounce? Maybe it's the really angular souls?

I have always liked the Nike shapes in their players clubs (except the offset in the CCI Forged) so it's nice to see that they retained very similar lines to their previous designs. I'd hit them.
  • pearls24pearls24 Members Posts: 1,055 ✭✭
Really hope the retail match these and not the pocket ones. Love the toe profile and looks almost like no offset. Well done.
