Sorry for the lack of pictures. I did that so that I'd have a reason to make sure and post. I have a 905R that should be here tomorrow to replace my 907 - I'll update when I get it.

Looking forward to the pics, fan of the older Titleist stuff myself. Edit, see you posted now, nice set up. Will be even more well-regarded once 907 replaced with 905R. I have a playing partner who hides rather expensive driver experiments under old, worn. Titleist 907 headcover because he says no one will look there, and if they do, will get irritated enough with zipper for him to catch any potential thief.

Lol. Overall the 907 hasn't been a horrible driver for me and I really liked it at first, but the more I read about how people despise the 907 drivers (including Titleist, apparently) the more I wonder if I'm missing out on something better. So, I found a 905R on eBay w/ headcover and the Aldila NV shaft which I've come to enjoy. Hoping to ditch the 990's for some 735.cm's during the off-season; SM4 wedges to follow sometime after that; and the icing on the cake will be when I have money to snag a Scotty Cameron California Del Mar.

Honestly though, while I do enjoy playing older Titleist stuff, I only do so because I don't have the money for newer equipment at this point in my life. Maybe when I finish my bachelor's or convince my wife that we really can't afford to own such an old house (built in 1920~ possibly earlier).

Got the 905 in yesterday (sorry no pics yet). It wasn't in as good of shape as I thought it was based on the eBay listing, but it isn't bad (just some bag chatter). My swing was really off today so it's hard to make a proper assessment of the driver just yet. The first couple holes I was really disappointed, but then I finally connected on #3 and - CRACK! - hit a nice medium/high bomb that went about 260-270. That sound is exactly what I want to achieve every time I hit that club. It's definitely a less metallic sound than the 907, but still very powerful sounding (maybe more so than the 907 actually). I was a little pressed for time so I didn't due a side-by-side comparison with my 907, but from what I observed, other than the sound, was that the ball flight was definitely a bit lower which is something I've been wanting out of my driver for a while now. Distance was the same, and the verdict is still out on forgiveness, but I'd say the scales are leaning a little more toward the 905 in that department as well. I can definitely see why people like the 905 so much, though I'm still a bit puzzled as to why everyone hates the 907. I hit it just as well as any other driver I've hit and would continue to game it if it weren't for the high trajectory. I'll try to get some pics up of the new gamer later today.
