VR28 Black Iridium Lenses - How are they?

I have to admit that I really dislike wearing sunglasses while golfing, but I've decided that in the long run it's more important to protect my eyes. A local seller is selling a pair of Half Jacket's with the black iridium lenses for a good price, and I was just wondering how they perform for golf? I know the G30 lenses are usually rated the best for golf, but wanted some opinions on these lenses.

I'm telling you man, I've never been able to play in shades despite many attempts. I bought some oakley flak jackets with vr28 blk irid lenses and I freaking love them. I can now after 15 years of attempts where sunglasses while playing. The g30 lense is supposed to be the best for golf but I don't like the way my eyes are so visible in them. Try the vr28 blk irid and you will love them. They really make things pop and provide great contrast.

Anything with a contrast lens will work better for golf than a non-contrasting lens. It so happens that the VR28 is a contrast lens. A very good contrast lens.

Recently switched for polarized black iridium lenses to VR28s. The lenses were several years old and I had recently acquired a mark in the left eye sight line. Purchased replacement lenses and went non-polarized from trying to read a smartphone while wearing. Polarized made a smartphone this bluish tint. Played with them on the other day, and a marked difference especially on greens seeing the relief. A pleasant surprise!

Oakley definitely makes the best lenses for golf purposes. I've found that for bright sunlight the VR28 black is the best, second is the regular VR28, but durin the fall and winter the G30 is best.

For my eyes and where I play, the Black Iridium are way too dark for golf.

I have used them on ripping sunny days in the Caribbean and in the desert and they were fine. But I generally play parklands/wooded courses, so the lighter G30 tint performs much better.
