Was he still playing the 913D3 with ADDI8x up until this week? Or was he trying a 915 before too?

Greg, this appears to be somethere between 400-430cc, yes?

The switch from DI to KK is interesting. Great scoop, cheers!

Well, so much for that Adam Scott doesn't need a smaller driver theory. I wonder how much lower spinning that head is compared to the 915D3.

it looks like a very small driver too me. I would love to get my hands on one

Great shaft switch. 2 very different ball flights so I am curious why he switched to KK since he is already a low ball hit according to a lot of sources (especially when hitting driver).

The club head looks awesome but oh-so-small.

wow that driver is absolutely stunning looking!! Especially the pic showing the face, it just looks really clean and great. It's hard to tell just how small it is from the pics (which are great BTW, thanks Greg) but it's def too small for me, I need more spin than that. I thought I read in the 915 thread that Titleist had a D4 & D5, one of which was coming to retail and one just for Adam Scott. Is this correct or am I way off? It would be great to see them bring this one to retail but I seriously doubt it.

    Great Pics Greg.

That thing looks cool. It doesn't look very forgiving though.

I always liked the small headed driver, but I don't think I could do it now after so many years of the 460's

Looks good, but it is odd since he is a low-spin guy to begin with. However, he is on record when talking about why he uses the ProV1 that he likes to see a lower flight with the driver and higher flight with the irons.

He just confirmed in his news conference that he is putting the 915 in play this week. He also said, numerous times, that he's been getting a "few extra yards" with the 915.

Much as we might like, no major OEM is going to release a 400cc driver in 2014-15. There's simply not enough of a market for them.

The difference is head size and shaft options. D2 for example is 460cc and d3 being 445. The d2 also has a slight draw bias.

I may be wrong but I thought I read somewhere that this is actually sub 400cc.
  • jmckjmck Members Posts: 4,319 ✭✭
That looks perfect. Looks a lot closer to 400cc, rather than 440/45/60/whatever.

Anything definitive on the exact size Greg?
  • jmckjmck Members Posts: 4,319 ✭✭

Fine with me if so. For comparison, the 983 was 380cc, and the 905S and 905T were 400cc.
