Jeff Yi and Chris Osentoski. I got a flier in the mail yesterday and it happens to have them listed
Cool, Pgood. Thanks. I know Jeff works on Walnut Street. Are they running any promos for the new store?

Thanks, Tanner

Edit: I got the flyer. No mention of deals on lessons. But, plenty for clubs, shoes, clothing etc next weekend. Does anyone know, Chris Osentoski? It looks like he is coming from a GG store in VA.

Glad to hear Jeff is going to be there! He is a super nice guy. I don't go to GG that often but he always remembers me and my little girl when he sees us. She is only 8 and asked him about the pink golf balls and was telling him she thought they were cool for girl golfers. He found a couple of sample sleeves and gave them to her.

I did not even know they were opening a new one till I heard it on the radio yesterday. What are the plans for the Walnut Street location? Keep it open?

I've never spoken to Jeff. He seems like a nice guy. Also, he is a Campbell University PGM grad. Go Camels! I am not sure if they are closing the Walnut St location.
The new location is on Hwy 55 not far from 54. But, closer to 540.

Jeff's a good guy and I always liked visiting the Walnut St. location, and I'm glad that Golf Galaxy is staying committed to the area.

Any good giveaways, I was thinking about going this afternoon?

Thanks
The giveaways are done when the store opens at 10am. Other than that, not really. You can putt outside for a two ball sleeve and sign up for possible giveaways.

I think they are closing the Walnut street location with the new super store they are opening. Jeff is a great guy and will go above and beyond what he has to do to make the customer happy.

he is very nice. how is he as a teacher? I had a friend who said, she enjoyed his lessons. But, I said what did he tell you, she said, he stresses tempo, 1-2-3, 1-2-3. It was kind of a turn off. I am sure he goes deeper than that obviously. Just curious if you guys took any lessons from him. Since, he is a Campbell grad, that earns extra points with me.

I heard Lucas Glover was supposed to be there today. Did anybody make it out and meet him? I would have loved to have made it out today to see what the new store is like. I hope they have more bays than the one on Walnut Street.

I think if you could get him out of the store and get some range or course lessons with him, I feel he could get the job done. He is extremely knowledgeable about the swing and tailors what he teaches to the student. I got all of this from about an hour convo with him on a rainy afternoon while he was hunting me some shafts from all over the country.

Flip flappy,

I didn't go yesterday, not sure about Lucas. They do have a 3-4 stall range, similar to Golfsmith in Raleigh. Plus, a few fitting ranges. Not sure which ones are used for lessons or fittings. It's nice to see a store when all the product and displays are brand new.
Thanks for the info Tanner. Glad to hear they have several bays. It is a pain to wait to hit in the bay while some kid pounds ball after ball! I love the Golf Smith hitting area.

No problem. Yeah, today I was waiting for a 5 year old hitting balls, ha! Went today, got a 5 gift card and 3 maxli u3 balls for being there at 10. I heard in a prior day someone won a 100 gift card and another person won a 500 card. Met a nice sales person named Joe who was very helpful with shoes and seemed to know the products very well. He came from their FL store.

Why would stressing tempo be a turn off? It's something every great player does very well.

I haven't used Jeff, but I have done two fitting sessions with Jared Morrow there, and he is excellent. Played college golf at Campbell, and was a teaching pro for several years; I haven't taken a lesson from him, but he's a super nice guy who knows the game.

Hey bluedot, Lessons with Jared are very good. But, he left GG. Looking forward to work with Jeff next.

Wow; when did he leave and where did he go? I just saw him there a couple of weeks ago, and a buddy has done an iron fitting since then with him, so it had to have been in the 10 days or so.

I got a message from a buddy last night who had gone into GG yesterday to pick up some irons from a recent fitting with Jared and found this out as well. He just said "a driving range somewhere on 40", but the Drive Shack website looks like it's a lot more than that. I hope it's a great gig for him; good guy with a new baby. I'm sure he would probably like to teach more, as opposed to retail, so I hope this fits the bill. Hate to lose him as a club fitter, though; I think he's really good at it.
