cleveland golf has always been known for their wedges, and these appear to be a worthy complement to the brand. what advantages do you see for amateurs in choosing to play a rotex 48° wedge vs. the stock PW that comes with the typical set? is it merely a loft/gap management/grind consideration or are their other factors we should consider?

i've always used the stock PW with whatever set i was playing and have always wondered about this.

thanks for your consideration.

Two questions. First, many of your competitors in the wedge market have really marketed the fact that their wedges have different sole grinds to fit each player. In the past Cleveland wedges have had limited options in the sole grind department, do the 2.0 wedges feature more sole grinds?
Second question.. I have always liked Cleveland wedges but their stock shafts have always been way to weak for me.. What will the new shafts have to offer for players with higher swing speeds?

Thanks for taking the time to answer our questions! :)

When changing from non-conforming grooves to the tzg grooves and subsequently to rotex grooves, I noticed that I needed to go a degree stronger in loft in order to maintain distance gapping. With the improvements in the rotex groove and further available bounce options, is this still the case? I am pleased to see collaboration with True Temper as have used s400 in wedges for years. Please explain what features have been incorporated into RTX 2.0 to improve over previous models, specifically bounce and sole configuration in combination with groove changes.

Thanks in advance for the participation and the opportunity!

With the groove rule in place for a while now, has it impacted your tour players or your average 18 handicaps more? My suspicion is that tour players, who are usually in the fairway anyhow, have no problem spinning new grooves. 18 handicaps who have replaced their old wedges, who spend more time in the rough, are probably struggling more?

I've had the Cleveland CG14 wedges in my bag four the last 5 years. Irons, drivers and putters have been switched out far too many times than I care to admit, but your wedges have happily remained! You're CG14's are just that good... What is it about your new wedges that would inspire me to make the change?
Thanks for your time!

Good Day

You offer a wide variety of custom aesthetics, with everything from logos to skins, on your custom wedges.

Currently, you are offering quite a few options in Dynamic Gold shafts. But, in graphite shafts, the only option is for a womens flex.

Quality graphite shafts for irons, such as the Aerotech steelfiber, UST Recoil, and Adilla RIP, are becoming more common.

Has Cleveland considered, offering as an option in their wedges, a graphite shaft for men ?

Thanks Karl

My question has to do with the consumer. Why do you have so many models with the 588 name? This is extremely confusing for the consumer and the majority of people working in golf shops have no idea re the differences in all these models, subtle or not.

Can't Cleveland develop strong names for marketing wedges without using the same name over and over?

Thank you.

Seriously...how good are the new Srixon irons going to be??!!

Can you give us any other good info on what to expect on those lines?

Oh wait, this is only supposed to be about Cleveland and TT relationship? Okay...you guys make awesome wedges as it is, and not a lot needs to change to be honest. However, people don't like to buy a newer, shiner version of what was made last year (or do we...) What cool new 'tech' is Cleveland coming out with with regards to head design or characteristics.

TT guys - Anything cool coming down the line for a wedge specific shaft?

Have any pros switched over the the RTX 2.0s from a competitors wedge?

That's a big sign that you have created something good. Professionals that can play anything switching over to your new product because it gives them the best chance to win.

What is Cleveland Golf's outlook for the future? It appears that Srixon will become the flagship brand in the US with Cleveland only producing wedges. Is this the case?

The RTX cavity wedges were very good for high handicappers providing spin and forgiveness. How does it really differ in the 2.0 version?

I was curious since you are partnering up with True Temper is there a specific shaft that may/ or has been designed exclusively for the New Cleveland RTX 588's as to perhaps changing ball flight and spin rates? Also what's different from the original RTX grooves vs. the New 2.0 RTX grooves especially since those new groove rules were enforced, can wedge companies do that much to make grooves more effective?

PS: still have my original 1st wedge I ever bought/owned a Cleveland 588 BeCu 56* one of my most favorite wedges of all time, bought it back in the 80's.

Thanks, Tim
