1-off Scratch DW DB's & Wedges added. First Impressions added Pg. 3

Hey Guys,

My other thread was getting a bit mucked up so I'm starting a new one. Just to recap, I put this order in sometime in early June and took delivery yesterday. These definitely took a minute compared to my other two sets. I will say that Don nailed it. They are unreal to look at. Here is what I went for:

3-4 Irons- No offset TD AR-1's

5-9 Irons- TD DW Diamondbacks (Low COG) in PVD (1/1 so far)

Shafts- TT DG-s400 Tours (USA Ryder Cup edition)

Grips- No-1's

Please let me know if there are any questions and I'll do my best to answer. Without further ado, here are some of the progress pics:

Raw- Initial grinding completed.

Ready for finishing

Finish Applied and ready for paint and build

In hand pics. I could not beleive how difficult it was to get these shots (indoors) with the black finish. Camera wouldn't focus.

Looks nice, question though. I see on the build sheet something about a 'sharp crotch'. What in the world is THAT all about?

Hard to explain, but I'll try to capture a comparo pick of the crotches betwen my older sets and these. You really want crotch pics?

Cost was a big factor and can you imagine looking at this in a 3 or 4iron? No thanks. lol

Man I'm glad I found this thread. I saw you posted in the other one so I checked this morning and you said "close it please". So like I said I'm glad I found it.

They came out great! Also the black finish looks awesome. And yes those would be scary in the 3-4 irons lol

Kekoa congrats on the new set - they look amazing. Love how simple and classic the design is and that PVD finish just brings a bit of a modern touch. How do you find the AR-1 heads blend with the flatback heads in terms of looks and flight etc.

I'm curious on how the flight will be with the weight a little higher up in the club head. Let us know how it effects the launch and spin rates compared to your other clubs if at all.

Thanks for the comments. Crazy thing is I haven't even received the Ar-1's yet. Apparently there was a mix up with the finisher. I assume looks wise they will flow nicely as they did with my other set. I just wish the AR'1 would launch higher, but there isn't a whole lot of flexibility to move the COG around like they can do with the flatbacks. I'll get pics up of the AR-1 when they arrive.

I normally do not comment in the WITB posts but you sir have the best looking set of sticks I have seen on this board. Those are beautiful and all the best with them as I hope they treat you well.
