Yes, it's walkable but I wouldn't want to.
i would agree, it’s pretty flat for up there but long walks from green to tee.
Yes, I'd say all of the courses except for Arthur Hills are walkable at Boyne, and you could probably even walk that one, but there is that one big hill to climb for the tee shot on #13. The Heather is easily walkable.
One big hill is an understatement, even going down that hill isn't easy.
I am getting old. Each golf season is a new injury I need to play through. Two years ago, it was shoulder (had surgery), last year was Tennis Elbow (did 4 months PT) and now its my back. I have never had back problems before, but one really is limiting my golfing success. It really hurts when I go after the ball. Headed to Chiro today to see if they can help me out. I miss the Gym.
I’ve had some success with lochenheath and there pro[i think his name was terry] when asking to get two rounds with our group and letting him know we’d eat there as well. Last year we were $150/ guy for 36... which is thought was a decent deal.
Alright cool, I’m debating on if I can carry or push for the AM. Hills are tough on my knee
The Heather is mostly gradual hills where there are any -- the 9th green is a pretty steep climb, but it's not a long one, and there's another smaller hill where the green is perched on #7. On the back 9, you work your way up a hill on the 15th & 16th holes, but it's not steep. The 18th goes steeply down the hill back to the clubhouse. Other than that, it's pretty flat.
I mostly read this thread but it's been weeks since any post. Where did everyone go?
I'm on vacation in Traverse City drinking tons of beer and playing golf almost every day!
Many of the normal posters have left this site. The moderators started deleting posts one after the other and it’s just not what it once was.
I def agree this site is not anything like it was before. Did people migrate to another forum or just gave up?
Not sure. I keep in touch with a few people by text. Sad, because we had a good group.
So finally played Arcadia. Incredible views. Played all the way back. Course was much more challenging than I thought. Mentally exhausting. Cant take any shot off. Tee to green...0 room for error. I cant count how many greens I hit where it just bounced over and I was 10 yards over and sometimes on a hill in the crap. I would play the course much different now that I know how it plays. Great fun though.
No golf yet this week, but work has been fun at least...
Most of the guys I talked to a lot just don’t get on here any more. I pull up the thread all the time but just not a ton going on.
I always feel like this thread dies a lot in the summer while everyone golfs and picks up in the winter when we all want to golf.
The website change may have something to do with it.
just been playing a lot of golf! heading to chicago this week to play a couple courses. pretty pumped about it...but not michigan golf!
Watched Michigan Golf Live they had the Devries golf trail. I've played pilgrims&greywalls loved them both. my question is about Diamond Springs looks like a really cool trax, how does it compare to pilgrims.
