Definitely all that is needed is the Hammer. Ad the 'POW' after impact and all is good. :lol:

yeah, with my hammer, i have to hit through plywood because if i dont i will hit it 800 yds+ :lol:

Swingspeed1 is right. I do this trick when performing LD demonstrations for outings. DO NOT TRY TO ATTEMPT THIS TRICK IF YOUR CLUBHEAD/BALL SPEED IS NOT 140/200+. YOU CAN SERIOUSLY HURT YOURSELF OR THE OTHERS AROUND YOU!

Need to add: pick plywood with no knots in the area you are trying to hit. The ball will not go through a knot no matter how hard you hit it

I'm trying to discourage and your encouraging this. Next thing we will see on tv is "Golf tricks gone bad'" with some poor kid with a golfball stuck in his eye because his drunk(sober) idiot friend tried this shot even though he did not have the talent/speed to pull this one off.

I'm getting tired of all the skaters and snowboarders getting all the airtime on MTV's "Scarred". I want to see some impacted eyeballs and dislocated testicles caused by a high speed collision with a golf ball. So come on people, stupid-up! :lol:

Nobody has mentioned anything about the thickness. I can guarantee that I have some 3/4" plywood that nobody on earth could hit a golfball through. Now if we are talking about 1/8" thick plywood, I think that my 10 year old could put a ball through it. It is a matter of picking the correct thickness.

Now who remembers the Top Flite commercial of Evan "Big Cat" Williams putting a Top Flite through a phonebook that looked about 3" thick, with a persimmon headed driver?

try waterlogged particle board... same effect just half the swingspeed.

1/2inch should be no problem. Jutst make sure you hit a draw, that'll get through there better with the overspin.

Well i can tell you that a golf ball will not go through metal mesh on the picker cart and i wish i had video and pics of the bruise to prove it. i will put it to you this way point blank rang cranked driver square in my chest on the rebound. PWNED :lol:

Aformentioned mod wasn't serious. I thought that much was obvious. :lol:

Yonex had a series of commercials a few years back where two guys with Vmass 350's were hitting balls through phone books. Pretty neat ads, but it didn't seem to make a difference in sales (in N America anyway).

A golf ball shot out a cannon wouldn't go through 1/2 inch plywood. It's harder than a golf ball.

Step 1 : Go to home depot

Step 2 : Put hockey gear on

Step 3 : Set up video camera

Step 4 : Grip it and rip it

Step 5 : Upload to youtube.com for WOWS or OOOHS depending on the outcome!

I'm glad to hear you were just joking. Sorry for missing that point. But I do use 1/2in for my tricks, no cannon involved, just raw speed.

I would still like to have this forum locked and removed, because of the possibility of someone getting hurt, then suing the crap out of everyone, because they can't take the blame for their own actions. You know the old "I didn't know who to do this until I saw it on a golf forum, then tried it because everyone thought it was cool, even though I don't have the talent to do it." So let's sue everyone else, I'm sure we can find someone to blame!
