Bandon Dunes Caddie Fees

Anyone know how to get a receipt for the caddie fees when you pay them. Paying from work expense account and racking up $1600 in caddie fees in a couple of weeks. Just curious if anyone else has had this same issue and figured out how to get a receipt to solve it?

Can you make your own and have the caddies sign them?

I do that for our daycare person for reimbursement from my FSA and have also done it for cabs when traveling.

Unfortunately not. They need real receipts...especially for that total. For something $50, they wouldn't care.

Why don't you call the caddie services number. I am sure you are not the only person in the history of Bandon Dunes to encounter the need for caddie receipts.

What is a "real" receipt? Not really looking for an answer as it is rhetorical. Basically any taxi receipt in foreign countries (and many US cities) would fail whatever made up standard your company has in place. I find it extremely hard to believe that there is a compliance issue with an employee signed receipt. That said, if they have rules they have rules regardless of whether they are legitimately valid or not. Just make sure you understand what the definition of a real receipt is in advance and you should be able to meet that standard.

If you are really worried about it just print something in advance for them to fill out and sign. You could likely even add their logo if you describe it correctly as part of a trip instead of using it commercially but I am not 100% positive on that one

You can pay in the shop via CC, and you get a copy and the caddie gets a copy so he knows you didnt stiff him

That sounds like they don't even have a base rate which would make it difficult to get a receipt. It may just be described unfortunately but it sounds like "pay the guy cash in hand what you think his work was worth".

Update: I called the caddie line and talked with Robert. I actually have 2 options:

1) just let the pro shop know after the round the amount I want charged to the room.
2) I can ask the pro shop to give me caddie cash. They will run that amount off my credit card and then give me the cash equivalent which generates a receipt.

Here is what I do... pay it. Cause its Bandon.

OR I would just tuck the fees into other expenses - say dinner. We can tip cash and claim it on our entertainment related meals.

Find an assistant and see if they can work up something from the pro shop with the letter head.
