Lots of courses, I'm a local, been here a year. First, where u staying, will u hv a car? How many rounds & price point?
[/quote]

I'm staying at Paris, and my in-laws always rent a car so they could drive me. But I'm okay with cabbing it, as far as price I have not really set a price. Also I saw it was only 1 hr flight to Phoenix has anyone made this trip there and back in one day. Is it worth going to Ping to get fit?

A club fitting at Ping isn't really a whole lot different that anyplace with a Ping cart and fitter. Plus, you can't make a reservation to get fit there, it is first come first serve. Only super exclusive peeps get to use their outdoor range, all other fittings are indoors on mats. It certainly isn't worth a trip from Vegas.

Oh, thanks for the heads up.

Yeah, that's a 4.5 hour hike down there... that's two rounds of golf you could be missing out on! :)

Like Jbaile said, there's a lot to choose from... generally, I recommend places like Royal Links, Revere (Lexington), Red Rock Arroyo, Pauite simply because you're not going to spend an arm and a leg, and they're (for me at least) "fun" courses. Heck, you can even get out on Bears Best for something like $70 at the right time of day.

I usually check first on GolfNow to see what the best prices for 4-star places are, and then call/check their website directly and see if they're cheaper. Sometimes they're cheaper than using GN....

I'm headed to Vegas week of Nov 9, If anyone wants to meet up and play let me know. I'm not sure where I'm going to play yet, I've never play when I go there, any suggestions would be great.

If you're available for a weekend round, let me know and I'll play with you at Paiute. If any other locals available, we could get a foursome together for $50-60 per person. Only day I can't play is the 15th.

I'm only there until 9-14. Has anybody played TPC Las Vegas I was thinking of playing there or does anyone have any connections to TPC summerlin.

I agree with Paiute and Arroyo, haven't played Bears Best but suppose to be great. Have not played TPC Vegas, WISH I had a Summerlin connection, just watched the Shriners there. Rio Secco in Henderson, 15 min from strip, is suppose to be great as well, Reflection Bay, which Natalie Gulbis recommends if you're playing one course in Vegas....it's in my short list this fall. I'd possibly be able to play in that span, let me know some solid dates when you figure out your schedule. [email protected]

Hey Golfinnova.....I recognize that par 3, Wolf Pauite? Most intimidating hole ever, took a flush 5-iron to land it one day with wind!
Speaking of Pauite, was at the Sun driving range yesterday, see pic below. Courses look great.

Yep, it's my home course as a PACC member so my guests only pay $10 above rack rate, the best part is that applies to tourists as well which can't be said for the other courses.

TPC Las Vegas is a good layout, on 14 aim for the steeple. I have a connection at TPC Summerlin but I would have to pay $300 which I have refused to shell out as there are much cheaper options with better conditions. Rio Secco is a good option.

jbaile, when are you looking to play RB? I'm debating on whether to play a Sunday twilight or wait for the rates to drop. I refuse to pay $110 or $85 for that matter.

If you guys would be willing to have a hack come play (okay not a hack, completely at least) I might be up for a round.

Played TPC Summerlin Monday - tough course, but for the money, I'd rather save some coin and play Paiute Wolf, Bears Best, maybe even get over to Badlands. It's a great course, but shelling out $300 for a round when there's cheaper fun to be had elsewhere, not really my preference!

Keep this post updated if ya will...

Paiute would b nice, bears best, reflection bay but may be $$$, suppose to b great though. There's lots of great tracks! Anybody prefer morning vs closer to afternoon? I'm flexible. JB

I would prefer morning I guess because of heat in the afternoon
