Looks like I will be moving on temporarily at least. Picked up a set of AP2's with the Modus 125 shafts. I like this shaft so much better than the 120's. First time on the range was extremely promising. I'll more than likely sell my MB's to be sure I give the AP2's an honest shot.

Not crazy about the looks on the AP2, so even though they feel pretty good I may be back to the J15's pretty soon and just flip the shaft. My buddy and I were on a monitor before my AP2's came, and teh J15 120X seemed looked to be a perfect fit for him - we are similar in length and I used to be a club longer, but he was hitting my clubs 15 yds past where I was with tighter dispersion than he hits his clubs. He will probably be taking them off my hands.

Evidently i'm pretty late to the game here, but i've had a new set of j15 cb's on order from BS for almost 3 weeks now. Still nothing.

Starting to wonder if they even have any left in stock.

Accidentally won an auction for the cb's on eBay. Put a low offer on a set with modus3 shafts and woke up this morning to find out I won. I actually forgot I was even bidding as it was a week ago I placed the bud.

Got another round in with my cb px lz combo. For a hack like me I am still amazed how well I am able to hit these. The four iron was money for two longer shots that I had. If I can figure out my driver and fairway woods again I should be shooting decent numbers soon.

Just picked up a set of CBs and love it. 2 rounds in they are more forgiving than the Nikes and I actually like the DG Pros. My first nice set of irons was the J33 CB so it feels good to be bagging a set of bridgestone again. Was looking at a set of Srixon or MPs but I'm glad I went with these.

They finally came in. J15 CB's with X100.

I've managed 2 range sessions and 9 holes so far. So glad that the 6iron i was testing at PGA SS on the monitor was representative of the set. Right now i feel i've found the perfect irons for my game.

One interesting note is that despite the fact the x100's are supposed to be higher launching in the long irons. They have brought my flight down in comparison to my i25 CFS Stiff pings.

For me this is a good thing, i hit the ball really high and as i play my golf in Texas, this can be a real problem. Nice piercing flight on the 4-5 irons.

Best of all, these things just seem to want to go straight.

I've played my CB's for about 12-15 rounds now with the PXi 6.5's and I am really starting to dial them in. It took a few rounds to get used to them by I really do like them. I don't miss my old set anymore and look forward to striking these. I've hit some of my best iron shots EVER with these clubs. After adjusting to the lesser offset compared to my previous set, I'm striking these dead straight at my target, and can put a draw on them if needed.

My inner ho always makes my eyes wonder at the different offerings out there...it'll be tough to resist taking the upcoming Srixons out for a spin...but it's the first time in a long time that I'm happy with my iron game and iron set up. These irons are the real deal.

Just picked up a set of J15 CB for less than $500. PGA SS has 25% off all pre-owned clubs and they were marked $649. Apparently, someone ordered these, hit the 7 and PW and decided they didn't like them. 4-6 were still in plastic! No scratches whatsoever and you could tell these had never been hit off of grass. Didn't want to pay $1000-1200 and then pay to reshaft. Was looking at Srixon 745 when these came out of nowhere! Will reshaft with either Modus 120TX or 125X...

I wanted to revive this thread. Ever since I traded my J15 cb's,I have been lost. Foolishly going from one set to another only to be left with an empty feeling. Well today my friends I just bought another set of J15 cb's with the same shaft as I had in my previous set. I played that set the longest I have ever played a set. Hopefully I will break my record.

Any old timers still playing their set? If so, let's just start this thread until the new stuff comes out.

Still rolling with the J15 CB's, just over a year here. Hard not to, I really like the new Srixon 765's, but I really am not convinced that they would be any better. At first, I was going to go with the Modus 120 Stiff, but backed off since I had more familiarity with the 1050's. The profile of the 2 shafts are very similar if you look at them, but the Modus 120 just has that stiffer tip section. I like getting the extra height without really having to work hard for it. From what I can gather also, after each one of these shafts are cut to length in the Bridgestone irons, the playing weight is almost exactly the same in stiff flex...106 grams give or take a gram or 2. That info coming from Nippon themselves. I am generally a low ball hitter, driving down into the ball with more of a 3/4 swing and the J15 CB's sole work like magic keeping me from digging. The shaft gives me a nice kick coming from the middle of the shaft which is a little different, but you get used to it. Great distance with these, and as forgiving as many GI irons without a doubt. They just don't look like it, which is cool. I think one of their most understated, under the radar, simplistic designs, but most effective by them just stretching the metal in certain ways, particularly low, and in the wider sole shape. They won't top these for a while in my opinion as far as playability.

And lastly, Bridgestone's quality control is unmatched. Stock or custom, they come right, ready, and correct.

Will never stray from my J15 CB's! The only change might be in the shafts once I'm fully recovered from my lateral epicondylitis in both arms. I can't wait for April to come!
Regarding other sticks. Just like most WRX'ers there's always going to be new irons I really admire. I'll want to look at & hit a few shots with. I've reach the time in my life that I know I have the best irons for me! I love my Bridgestone J15 CB's.

For me I have had a fairly busy golf club year - started with 915 driver and fairway, tried Ping GLS and F fw and now also have M2 driver and M1 fw. Also gone from Works 1w, to Works V-Line, to Scotty M1 putters.

I have had a waggle of the JPX Forged but that's it, I don't think I have even picked up another iron this year. Very pleased with the j15CB and also glad I have a spare set of heads as these are going to be really tricky to pick up in the UK.

My only conundrum is whether to shaft them up and compare to the current set with KBS Tour V's, or hold them back. Very very solid set of irons.

Yeah, I've been ho'ing irons for a while now, and those are gonna stay. I keep trying to replace them, but they keep making their way back into the bag. At this point there's no way I'll sell them. Best balance of looks, feel, feedback, forgiveness, and performance of any iron I've ever owned.

I've been able to hold off pulling the trigger on the j15's thus far because I don't really need them but I may just do it.

Torn between stiff and x flex in the modus 120s. I have stiff in my current set and like them but sometimes wish I got x. I've never played an x set before but these do play a little softer than dg for instance.

Anyone else play stiff in most steel and x in the modus?

I prefer the x over the s in the modus when I tested them side by side. More accurate for me. I have played stiff in everything else. I'm wanting to try a soft step x and an x straight in to compare.

Just check your weights. The xstiff is heavier and could throw your swing weight off.

Long time Bstone user here. Usually more of a lurker on these posts but trying to get more involved. I've played the J40 dpc for the past 4 years and am still game the J40 driver. Purchased a set of j15 cb from Jay w2h ( great transaction by the way). Love the irons - everything I expected and more. The iron are shafted with the KBS Tour FLT in stiff flex. I usually keep it in the high 70's to low 80's, 7 iron around 155 yds. I feel these shafts get the ball up really high and they seem too balloon a bit with a lot of draw. Am contemplating switching out to KBS c tapers. Can anyone provide any insight if this would possonly straighten/ lower ball flight out and would a stiff flex in c-tapers be sufficient? Thanks.
