Scotty Cameron GoLo 5 or Scotty Cameron Futura X5

Which one?

Golo 5 has some toe hang, sets up really clean (to my eye). x5 is face balanced, sets up a little funky (I don't like the gray paintfill). The x5 feels better off the face to me (golo 5 is kind of dead/dull feeling). It's probably going to depend on whether you need some toe hang in your stroke. Golo 5 is currently in my bag, x5 chilling on the sidelines.

I had the Golo 5 earlier this season ... never felt right, and I could never seem to set it up square.

Tried the X5 today ... sets up very square and frames the ball well. If it weren't for that $350 price tag, it'd be in my bag now.

Golo, IMHO

I love my GoLo but I have to admit the X5 has my attention. Putted with it at the local shop and everything seemed to go in. I think their putting room is rigged. I had the Futura X and could not make a short putt. Thats the only thing slowing me down with the X5 as both of these putters are face balanced. Tough call.

After trying out the X5, I will happily be sticking with my GOLO 5.

Agree it may come down to toe hang
Always like face balanced as most toe hang have too much
"hang" for my stroke
But as mush as I loved putting with my face balanced Ping Milled 5, the Golo's "slight" toe hang might be my perfect fit.
No manipulation
Plus it has an excellent soft milled feel, weight feels bang on....just as good as the Ping Milled

I just traded for an x5. Be interesting to see if I like it. I like the head style (odyssey 7) so we shall see.

I've been rolling my GoLo 5 for 3 months now and have had great success. I definitely agree with the comments around the muted feel at times but I really like the soft feel. I messed around with the X5 at my local store and it felt clicky to me (had nothing to do with the Top Flites on the practice green I'm sure). I really liked the design of the X5 and the looks, but I'm sticking with my GoLo.

Three rounds this week with the GoLo S5. Love the solid feel and set up of this putter. I've been playing with a Red X2 and love that one, as well. The biggest difference is a little hotter face on the GoLo.

I had the X5 for one round and just hated it. I love Scotty Cameron putters but this one seemed like the head wanted to go everywhere. It might be I play on slow greens and needed a bigger stroke. I honestly thought it was going to be much bigger than what it actually is. The feel was great but I couldn't get a good stroke on it.
