Proposed membership site to try Golf Digest Hot List Gold Medal Winning Drivers

Hello Everyone,

I am a club fitter/builder, and have over 13 years of experience in the golf business. I have used the most technologically advanced launch monitors for professional fittings extensively and believe in the raw data they provide whole heartedly. In a perfect world, you would put the same swing on your driver each and every time, but we all know that we do not. So let's address the elephant in the room when it comes to launch monitors, they do not account for how inconsistently the average golfer swings a golf club on different days of the week. You fit someone to a driver with that days golf swing and raw data numbers (Club speed, Ball Speed, Spin Rate, Launch Angle, Attack Angle, Etc..) and the data could be totally different the next day. You take an average of the customers best swings on that day, and fit them to the best case scenario numbers. The only way to truly find how a particular club performs consistently is to put it in play multiple times, in multiple course conditions.

I am in the process of creating a golf equipment membership site called True Test Golf. We want to create a place where golfers can try the best drivers on the Hot List, without committing to an expensive purchase first. The basis is that members are able to try out the Golf Digest Hot List Gold Medal winning drivers at their leisure for a monthly fee. We have ideas for monthly membership options that are as follows,

1. Free 2 week trial - Sign up for a trial membership, try a club for two weeks, send it back. No risk.

2. Pay per club option $25. Rent a Driver for up to 2 weeks at a time, try it out, send it back.

3. Month to Month - $30 per month, reserve drivers, try it out as long as you like, send it back, then we send the next one you reserve. Try up to 2 drivers per month. Cancel your membership anytime.

4. Yearly membership - $300 per year, reserve drivers, try it out as long as you like, send it back, then we send the next one you reserve. Try as many as you like per month.

Outbound shipping is at a cost per club to you, return shipping is free. This allows the customer to decide how quickly they would like to receive their clubs.

By being a member of this site, you can give the driver you have been thinking of buying a True Test, on your course or range, in various course conditions, on your time. This eliminates the depreciation you would incur if you were to purchase the club off the rack and end up disliking it. It's also a good option for the "club junkies" out there, us included, that would rather pay $300 per year and be able to switch drivers at anytime, then pay $300-$400 per driver every time we felt like a change was necessary.

We would like to get the Golfwrx community opinion on if this site has a place in the market. Drivers are Phase 1, with putters, shafts, etc. coming later as the company grows.
