Best Shaft for Callaway FT3 Tour Fusion

Recommended Posts

Looking for some helps.....
Dear members,

I have a Callaway FT3 Tour Fusion 9.5* with Aldila NVS 65 shaft. I have it for about 4 months. I feel that the shaft did not give me good result, medium trajectory. I want higher ball flight. My swing speed is about 95 MPH. The shaft is Regular Flex. Anyone can help me? :help:

Thanks,

Anton

My swing speed is slightly slower than yours and I had good success with a Speeder 569 in My FT-3. Though my swingspeed tops out at 92mph, I have a lot of lag and the NVS just couldn't keep up. The 569 trajectory and distance are quite similar to the NVS for me but the dispersion is MUCH better. Hope this helps.

I think that riche119 made a good call -Speeder 569. Ball gets up easily and the shaft has a good kick and is quite stable. Very nice shaft for someone loking for a bit more height.

The 652 speeder is also a very good shaft but I have found it to be a lower flatter trajectory than the 569.

Graphite Design YS 6 is another solid shaft that should give a higher ballflight.

I currently have a 7FTB...it's a little on the stiff side..I hit a pretty high ball but this head and this shaft the spin is pretty low. If you dont strike it well with enough uhmmmph.. it will fall out of the sky...literally

If you have that set up and still need a higher ball flight, I would suggest you to get a 10* ( higher loft )...Then you'll have a better choice of shaft if you really need to replce them.

My 2 cents!

Regrettably with the Tour offering 9.5* is the highest loft available retail; a 10.5* is produced but it is Tour Issue and good luck paying for one if you ever find it ...

You could try the 10* non-Tour FT-3, but the NVS is 55g.

It would be best to get on a reliable launch monitor to get your average backspin and launch angle before spending much more money.

Why not come armed with a magnetic angle reader and find the highest lofted Tour 9.5 in the store. My FT-3 is marked 9.5 and it's actually above 10*

Hi to all members,

Thank you for the respond, and I think all the arguments are very useful for me. I have my TM 200 steel 3 wood on YS-6, and it feels great and the ball flight is excellent. I think I will take a shot with YS-6. I tinker with my set up the other day (ie. move ball position & alignment), and the result was better ball flight :idhitit: . I don't think I can find the radar angle here in Jakarta :stop: . Just assume it is 9.5 degree and smack it...

Cheers......

No Biggie here!

I will do the work for you when I know i will be in Jakarta again.

I may be there as often as a few times a year if all plans come through.

Where do you usually play? Biasanya sih kalau saya di Jagorawi, but I don't like to get stuck on one course only.
