Bushnell Pro 1M Slope Rangefinder keep it?

I scored a Bushnell Pro 1M Slope Rangefinder on Amazon for $189.99. Found out it was remanufactured version because of defect that was common in these units, but still carries the same warranty as a new one. I am on the fence if I want to keep it. Are the new ones any better with the jolt tech? Do I keep it especially for the price? Seems liked a good deal to me.

Jolt is an absolute waste of money and kills the battery quickly. And the thing will still jolt when shooting objects beyond the pin so it's basically useless. Stick with non-jolt versions.

I'm not sure I agree with any of this. I bought my Pro X7 before the season and used it all year on the same battery. We will see how far I get into next year as well.

It will pick up an occasional object in the background and jolt but to say it's useless isn't accurate. I enjoy the feature and prefer using this one over my 1600. That said, I have nothing against the non jolt models.

I've had extremely good luck with refurbed electronics.

I've had extremely good luck with my Bushnell rangefinders.

My golf buddy has a Bushnell with "jolt", it's a cute feature, but it's not a game changer, I wouldn't base a buying decision on it, that's for sure.

Take the $100 you saved and get new grips.

This sounds like you didn't read the amazon listing very well. Always check to see if deals are open box or refurbs before hitting the button.

Personally, I'd keep it. If it works, that's good price.

I should've specified I was referring to the Z6 jolt from several customers' feedback and hearing the same thing from other shops. The X7 takes a larger battery so maybe it handles longevity with the jolt feature better due to that.

If it carries the same warranty as new......................you're still SOL. I've had problems with two Bushnell Laser Rangefinders over the years and their solution is to offer you a 20% discount off of their retail prices which still is more than buying a new unit that is street priced.

Hope it continues to work for you and you don't have to send it in for any warranty issues. I will never buy a Bushnell rangefinder again. Nikon or Leica.

Still working after 4.5 years. Best investment/deal ever. Can never go back to just using GPS.

p.s. only reason I found this post was because I was googling for battery replacements for my Bushnell 1M.
