EBay seller Mikes Golf Outlet

Anyone dealt with them? Plenty of solid feedback. Just wondering if any wrx'ers had dealings with them.

Im considering making a purchase from them - wanted to see if anyone had some experience.

I've had a few transactions with this seller over the past year with no issues.

From what I can remember (all down hill after 40) communication was great and shipping was quick.

Never ordered online from them but have been in the shop a few times so there's brick and mortar there if that means anything. Guys were always very helpful, I wouldn't hesitate to buy from them.

Well, if you had read my original post - I KNOW they had solid feedback - was just looking for some real life wrx'ers encounters. I got what I needed - if you had nothing other to add than what you said then you need not reply.

Rumor has it they buy golf clubs.

"THEY BUY GOLF CLUBS" and they fit with an actualator.

If this is the same guy.....his shop is a junk pile. Went in there last time I was down in Chatty closing on the sale of our home there. Its a mixture of golf clubs and music equipment. All the clubs I saw were crap, but maybe he keeps better stock for ebay sellin. I will say that I was able to roll a few putts on a ghetto fabulous putting 'green' inside the shop while immediately to my right a burnout was giving a guitar lesson to a couple tweenagers.

Classy.

This shop is in Hartford, CT....not Tennessee.

The Mike's Golf Outlet on ebay that I dealt with was located in Connecticut. I don't think the guy in DP's YouTube link is in/from Connecticut; but I'm just spit-balling here.

Definitely! Nice enough guys but it really is junk. You have to dig to find anything decent then it's over-priced!!!

I've had two transactions with them, great both times. Worked with me to swap a set of irons shafts they sold which they marked incorrectly (Flighted PX's that weren't supposed to be flighted), never complained or hassled me. I would deal with them again.

I stop in there once in a while mostly to sell but sometimes I'll see something on ebay and stop in to check it out. The only thing with that place is once they take pics of the item they are put onto racks in the store with thousands of other clubs and the people who browse in the store are able to hit them. It's happened once so far where I saw a driver on ebay that they described as better then average and went down there to pick it up and there was a nice pop up mark that clearly wasn't there in the picture.

I've had about 6 transactions with them between March 2014 and now. I have have my 1st issue. It looks like someone tried to remove a grip and cut a touch too deep into the shaft all the way up the shaft. I have no idea what anybody was thinking with this damage. The guys at the PGA Tour Superstore noticed it when I went to change the grip. The original Adams grip was still on the shaft. That was not in any of the pictures. I wish it was just the paint, but like I said it's a touch too deep.

They will get a call tomorrow. I'll let everyone know what happens. Here is the picture.

Just bought a pro platinum mid slant from him. Waiting on delivery now. No issues so far.

FYI... The guy I spoke to could not have been nicer. He offered a replacement shaft without hesitation. He also offered me a $20 refund off the price and told me if the shaft breaks to call him back and he will refund the full shaft. I took the later deal because I was hitting it for the last two weeks in the simulator and getting great numbers. If it becomes weaker or breaks I'm not complaining for $30. I have a backup Red Tie that I also purchased from them already.

And by the way... I've added up all my transactions with them. I've spent over $550 with them through 6 different transactions the past year. I highly recommend them.

To follow from my earlier post, I would be careful buying irons sets from those guys. For example, there are a lot of PING's where the pics don't match the description. Like 7 irons are pictured and the listing is for 8. They don't apparently respond to questions about the discrepancy either.

[/quote]That, I believe, is Dallas Golf. There may be more that follow this practice, but I've never seen any club from DG offered with a headcover.

We ordered from them a little over a week ago and got our order tuesday. They were as described, shipped quick. No problems.

Can't believe I saw this, may be to late but here is my experience with them Mikesgolfoutlet (yes the one on ebay and based in Con.)
I purchased an SLDR off ebay from them which they gave a description of excellent. When the club arrived It was covered with stickers. As I began to remove them I felt a sting on my left index fingertip. The baseplate on the club was loose and the metal edge sliced my fingertip. I've been cut before so no emergency, but it was enough to make gripping a club impossible for a week and uncomfortable for two. Also I believe they tried to cover the plate with the sticker to hide the defect. When I notified the guy he said it was an easy thing to fix and that I should just have it glued back. I replied I'm not taking on that or driving a half hour to fix a defect in a club that was described as "excellent" (what if it continues to come loose in the future, then what?). My dealings with Mikesgolfoutlet left me with no club, a cut finge,r the hassle of re-packing, driving to the post office and cancelling a round at Grand Cypress (couldn't hold a club for a week). I got a refund but I still had to pay a transaction fee to the bay. Seeing this post I feel that Mikesgolfoutlet may try to cover up defective clubs and hope they get away with it. Buyer beware!
