Need a quick winter golf escape from Ohio to NC

My father and I would like to maybe do a three day trip to NC in the next few weeks to break up the cabin fever! If the temps are around 50ish. Need suggestions on maybe somewhere over the NC line say the Statesville area. Help on courses and a decent cheap place to stay. Not looking to drive too long. Charlotte is about 7 hours from us. Thanks

Rock Barn in Hickory, NC is good (they play a Senior PGA event on the Championship course)
Tanglewood in Winston Salem (I've never played it but heard good things)

You need to come further south for the chance of better weather. Come down to Raleigh. You could play the UNC, NC State courses and hit a Pinehurst area course. Many of these are on GolfNow for really cheap prices.

If you are around Pinehurst google keith hills. Home of Campbell university golf team and PGA. Not really long (6700ish) but fun course.

You need to come further south for the chance of better weather. Come down to Raleigh. You could play the UNC, NC State courses and hit a Pinehurst area course. Many of these are on GolfNow for really cheap prices.

How much are the unc, duke, Nc State courses. There I'd also a Davis Love iii course. Anderson golf club

Using GolfNow, I've played the UNC and NC State for $35 on a weekday. Several Pinehurst area courses can be played for the same. We've had a lot of days hitting 60 degrees this winter. Go to GolfNow site to get an idea of pricing.

CHAPEL RIDGE (COUPLES), THE NEUSE, NC ST LONNIE POOLE, UNC FINLEY, THE PRESERVE (DAVIS LOVE), ARE A FEW GOOD COURSES.

Wilmington area on the coast is the warmest spot in NC. Nice city with some good courses too.

Look into the Greensboro area to save some driving time. Winston -Salem close by. Tanglewood, Bryan Park, Oak Hollow, Forest Oaks maybe.

If you're looking at Statesville or Hickory and are willing to drive another 40-60 mins you could play Mimosa Hills and Silver Creek Plantation. I can help you with Mimosa if you wanted to play.
