My custom JR Leather 1/1 Valuable pouch/Putter Cover Project

Hey Guys and Ladies (My first thread on WRX)

I thought I would share my custom leather putter cover and valuables pouch project with everyone, from concept to reality! I am working with a true craftsman! Jacob Richards (JR Leather) [email protected]. for anyone interested.

I saw Jacob's work on a thread his brother (jrich61820) posted on his custom putter cover Christmas gift and loved the work, so I contacted Jacob to make a putter cover for a new putter I was getting done (Genuine SGC putters - that's another thread I will post in Putters) with a matching valuables pouch for my bag. Follow along!

This was a sort of "milestone in life" project, so I wanted something unique.

Jacob and I emailed a few times discussing our ideas and he came up with concept sketches. I wanted my initials in "dancing" form and also two sketches - a rose, representing my mother (who just loves roses) and a wheat stock, representing my father who was a John Deere dealer. I live in real "wheat farm" country, where Nothing Runs Like a Deere!

We also discussed color, lining and style. He told me he would have to design a special "stamp" to add the sketches. I also wanted different textures of leather, so the outside will be lighter brown, with dark Italian chocolate brown leather lining. These are the pics, I sent Jacob.

Here's what we came up with. Jacob has been working on the pouch first.

Awesome work! Its not done yet so stay tuned. Craftsmen take concepts and turn them into reality!

That's awesome! My brother is a true leather master craftsman, and an even better person:)

Looking like it will be a pretty cool finished product! Will def. look into these.

Jacob is awesome and the nicest guy.
