Is There A Thread From PGA Show That Covers Small Companies

I haven't seen any smaller company threads from PGA Show? Peretti released new irons. Any other small companies/boutique companies that have been covered this year? That's always the best part. All the major OEM's stuff has been on this site for awhile now, nothing new. I'm not even a SC fan but like to see the Table Rock booth, and other companies that are doing cool things but on a much smaller scale.

Is there a thread like that this year? If so I couldn't find it....

Honestly, there weren't that many small OEMs there. We made it a point to see the component companies. I'll look at my directory to see who was there from the smaller companies.

Actually i don't really watch Golf Channel, so I don't know what they covered.

But the last few years WRX has always took pics of the small companies. It seems this year it's just major OEM's. I wonder if sponsor $ got in the way of promoting smaller companies. I honestly don't think that, but was disappointed no small companies were photo'd. Personally seeing small putter companies, and small companies like Scratch or other companies that offer cool things that are just different.

One that came to mind is Bobby Grace putters that was there. Edel was there as well. I'll have to dig. Who are you looking for in particular?

I specifically mentioned this when the first GolfWRX post was made asking for what we wanted covered.

If you go to the pga merchandise show website and search by attendee listing you'll see a fair number of smaller companies. Or even looking at the show map you'll see a number of smaller companies, particularly putter and short game. European and Japanese companies often show that aren't as well known here but have a presence overseas (see previous years which had even more).

I wonder if it's merely demand in who was at the show or if there is a conspiracy against smaller competitors? . . .

I've been pretty disappointed with the WRX coverage of this years show. There wasn't much new that was at demo day but that appears to have been 90% of the focus. With all of the major OEM's having already launched their 2015 product, I was expecting to see the more of the niche brands from the show days.

Sorry, just being honest with 12-18 inches of snow headed my way. Hopefully it will be better in 2016

Where are the show pictures? I see very little from the booth displays and mostly the outdoor range stuff. Clothing, cadgets, shoes, bags, wierd golf things etc, are missing.
What happen to the crazy priced Scotty putters? What happened to the coverage?

Completely agree. This is one of the best things this site does and this year I am feeling very disappointed. Very limited booth pictures,etc. Keep waiting for stuff to be updated but nothing. Oh well maybe they are holding out on us

I think in years past the site has uploaded new galleries week after. Particularly the training aids, clothing and accessories, right?

Yeah I believe it's called Table Rock is the booth with the outlandish prices. But there are some cool putters sometimes, obviously waaaaaay over priced but kinda cool to see the some weird SC putters.

I know Cameron cut ties with Table Rock in the last year. I can't imagine he wasn't there though.

Like someone mentioned all those crazy Scotty Cameron putters were sold by Table Rock that was one of the distributors till last year. And Table Rock wasn't there this year.

Scotty or Titleist never sells a single thing at PGA Merchandise show ... ever.

I just looked through the hit girls of the show 2015 and saw that Scratch had booth. Definitely one of the smaller companies I wanted to see the most. Actually wanted to see Scratch more than any other company.

I wanted to see more putter creations! Loved the edel wedges and irons from last year's photos.

I feel like the only companies covered are the ones that buy golf digest ads.

There is a lot of truth to this. I checked my guide and there a lot of smaller companies but you wouldn't recognize them in a lineup. Scratch, Edel, Bobby Grace and a lot of other companies looking to get into the business as well. But without money for a larger booth, you're just another small company. If you weren't established somewhere else, good luck.

There's a front page article on scratch and a couple huge hand made threads, there isn't much else to show. They have new wedges forged in MI coming out this year. I do agree that the gadgets and smaller brands seem to be missing, even apparel would be nice as I've already seen all the big club product lines.

I didn't see any pics from the Seamus Golf booth, I heard they had a cool setup. Did Jones Golf Bags have a booth, too?

They did. They were in the back near the apparel. Nice bags, but pretty pricey for an average joe.

Also wouldn't mind seeing Scratch, Edel, Piretti, Bobby Grace stuff. I am guessing they will put more up this week...

Yeah, very disappointed with this year's pictures of the show.

I was hoping to see more apparel and more of the gadgets and swing aids. Morning Drive showed that linkswear was coming out with a pair of spiked golf shoes. I caught the end of it and came here to try and find more info and couldn't. Unless I am missing it somewhere.

Also, did anyone visit the SuperSpeed golf training system booth? Or ever heard of them? The Orlando Sentinel reporter covering the show said the company claims extreme clubhead speed gains by using their product and training system that takes 15 minutes 3 times a week. Here is one company. It's not that small, but it has probably the best cart system I've ever seen! I didn't even know they existed until last week!
