I can see a market for the wallet friendly upper end ball. The 2 piece Get Sum has no real selling point, I don't think. Maybe they just need to offer it to entice pro shops or other retailers to bother with the lineup.

Just saw a glowing review of the Snell "my tour" ball. I think the price is right at about $30. Any more expensive than that and people won't stray from other brands.

The name and graphics definitely need reworked. Call it the Snell Tour 85 or something.

    I may try some.

Mi Gulf Spi tweeted a comparison test where Snell was rated the best out of a number of small company balls and the ProV1.

Can't post the link, but easy enough to decode and find on Twitter.

Numbers look great to me. I will give them a shot at some point, but would prefer to see them at a demo day... that won't be happening.

From what I've read, the balls perform. I have no qualms about trying them, and I probably will at some point.

They need to get w/ a good marketing person to improve the graphics on the ball, the names of the balls, etc etc.......

As soon as everyone gets a chance to play it, PLEASE start a thread on how they compared for you on course. I know at some point I will buckle and get some, but I would rather read about them for now.

I saw the test against The Pro V1X and other

    non name brand balls.

The Snell ball was rated the highest.

    Highly recommended. $31.99 Doz

Look interesting though my cutoff is 25 per dozen so maybe if they droP they'd be worth checking out. The test on the blog I saw was very promising.

I have? I guess I will have to go back and count. That said, if you read my posts you would note I have said that I am FULL on balls right now. I have plenty and there is no need to add to the stock. Plus, and this would be new in this thread, I really don't have any use for the ones I have until my shoulder decides to heal properly. Already wasted 7 weeks of prime golf time thanks to whatever I have done in the way of damage to either the rotator cuff or the tendons within.

They tested pretty on the site (this site wouldn't let me post a link). I agree with previous comments - the graphics and the name are hideous and need to be changed quickly. I'm picky enough to not want to try it for those reasons alone.

I'll wait, I have too many balls in stock already.

$31 price is good if they are what they say, but there seems to be an endless basket of loose Prov1 for $35 dz at GS

If they really want to tap into a niche market, they should rename them "Snelly Balls". Instead of selling them in sleeves and boxes sell them in a faux leather bag and call it "Snelly Ball Sack". Ok, I'll see myself out now...

Seriously though, these balls sound really intriguing. Once my preseason collection gets depleted, I will pick some up.

Agree. It is less expensive than some and I'm sure it's fine, but why use it when you can almost always find closeout urethane balls for the same or less? I'd rather buy some 2013-14 Srixon Z series for $29 than send away for these.

Ditto. Probably makes me a golf snob, but that's kind of half the fun. We like what we like, and the rest just doesn't make it in the bag.
