Tour AD BB6x and Speeder 6.2TS plus general question

Hi, I was wondering if anyone has tested these two? I haven't found much online comparing the two, only the bb7x and 7.2 ts. How do they compare as far as distance, dispersion, feel, etc. Also, I have read you will never see a "made for" Tour AD shaft, but I'm curious about the Speeder. Do they make the Speeder 6.2 TS as a "made for" version as stock offerings. I want to get the real deal, and on eBay they go for Speeder 6.2 TS' for either 180 or nearly 300 so I was curious if it was because of the "made for" and real deal type thing. Thanks!

not much experience with the bb7x but the speeder tour spec is what I got fitted for last year. knocked my spin way down. feels a bit harsh but once you see the results you will be okay with that. low spin, low launch for me. tight dispersement.

can be had on the BST for less than $150 most times. and the "made for" you are talking about is just the tour spec with TM graphics. They made them for the r1 and the SLDR for sure. Those can be had for a bit less, but keep an eye out and you will find a .2 TS for $125-$150

Good luck

I don't quite have the swing speed or load for the x versions, but I've used both GD BB and 7.2 TS shafts. The TS is a smoother, more balanced shaft to me with more of a low/mid launch. It feels more powerful, if that makes sense. I have tried the X version and it is a beast. The BB doesn't feel quite as tight (not in a bad way, just has a little more kick) and launches higher. I used the BB for close to a full season and finally tried the TS late last year - fell in love with the feel immediately. Both are fantastic options depending on what you're looking for.

I currently have a Motore Speeder TS 6.2x, and a Tour AD BB 6x and Tour AD BB 7x all assembled at Titleist with Surefit adapters that I have used in my 910 D3 driver at different times. As well as my Tour AD BB 6x in my G30.

Based on my frequency unit and knowing they are each tipped 1/2" (standard for Titleist to play true to flex)..

Motore Speeder TS 6.2x = 270 CPM's
Tour AD BB 6x = 268 CPM's
Tour AD BB 7x = 270 CPM's
Tour AD BB 6x (G30) = 270 CPM's

For reference some others I have checked:
Matrix Black Tie 7M3.1 xstiff (stock from my XCG7 Beta) = 277 CPM's
Aldila Rogue 110 MSI 60 x (from a 915 D3) = 271 CPM's
UST TourSPX Elements Chrome 6F4T = 270 CPM's
Motore Speeder TS 6.2s = 257 CPM's
Aldila Tour Blue 65x (G30) = 269 CPM's
Fujikura Speeder 757 xstiff (G30) = 281 CPM's

I find that the Motore Speeder TS is very smooth feeling, and the Tour AD BB shafts feel a little bit tighter, but based on the CPM specs that I have found they are very close. Even with all these options I played my 910 D3 with Tour AD BB 6x almost all of last year, I picked up another one this winter to put into my G30 to give it a test. For me the Tour AD BB 6x is just about perfect for my swing.

Perhaps this will help make an informed decision;

This is exactly what I was hoping to hear. I was thinking of tipping a BB, but I've read nothing but great things about the TS so I'm going to take that route. Thanks for the reply!

I see. How is your tempo? I swing pretty aggressively with a quick tempo so I'm leaning towards the TS. What exactly do you mean by tighter? Like dispersion and accuracy or just the feel of the shaft? Also, let me know how the BB does in your G30 as that's what I will be getting!

I have hit both in stiff flex. The Speeder TS was more stout feeling than the AD BB. The AD BB did not feel too soft at all, the Speeder just felt more stiff. The Speeder was lower launching as well. My opinion after hitting the 2, if you are a smooth swinger, you might like the AD BB better. If you are quick or aggressive, go with the Speeder.

I agree with Peanut191 about feel and swing tempo. I have owned the Motore Speeder 6.2 TS X-Stiff in a 913 d3, and currently play a 7.2 TS X-Stiff in my R11s. The 7.2 TS is the best shaft I have ever used in anything. I had a Nike VR Pro LE with a AD DI 7x and one with a BB 6x. They were good but not great when compared against the Tour Spec's, but I feel a lot of that is attributed to my more aggressive tempo.

I have played both and agree with peanut and tops. The speeder can handle anything and has a little less feel but not harsh where ad be has a pretty good kick. I found the tour spec to launch low mid with low spin where adbb was more mid launch mid spin. If you need lower launch and spin and tight dispersion the tour spec is the best on the market with the exception of the rogue 125 MSI that I have not hit yet.
