One course before you die

I would play Cypress Point.

I suspect the most common answers will be among Augusta, St. Andrews, Pebble, and maybe Pine Valley.

All the photos I've ever seen of Cypress look like Heaven on earth literally.

What course would you play?

I'm with you on Cypress Point, absolutely stunning. I know you said one course but if Augusta National was an option then it'd be a tough decision for me simply because of the history there and I'm from Georgia. I'd be happy to play either if I'm honest, would literally be a dream come true.

Augusta hands down. There's not even a close second.

I've heard guys like Sneds say things along the lines of "because I grew up in the south, Augusta is my favorite course/the masters is my favorite tournament."

I feel like a lot of folks will echo that sentiment

Merion, the course where they played the open. For some reason that course just stands out to me. Just unreal.

If anyone has contacts to Merion, hit me up! I will be on the next flight out lol.

Any course with my sons would be the perfect course.

It will never happen but Augusta.

I'm a very lucky person, I can honestly say that I've already crossed this question off my list (see avatar). There's not a day that goes by that I don't think about it and appreciate it, either.

Me? Watching some Pebble re-runs TGC has been showing, and it looks awesome. Between that and Cypress for me. Of the courses I'd realistically be able to play in my lifetime. Love northern california

It's the cliche answer but Augusta no doubt. In 2001, the owner of the company I worked for at that time was friends with the CEO at a large construction equipment manufacturer who is a member at Augusta National. We were going to play Augusta in November but, too make a long story short, the company went belly up and the owner went to prison, so no Augusta. I was more upset about losing the chance to play Augusta then I was losing a nice paycheck.

I've never had a bucket lists of courses, but I am scheduled to play Bay Hill on Feb 24th - my first big name course.

I will go with Augusta. If I was going to go back and play one again it would be Ballybunion,

Augusta because it's Augusta and near impossible to get on. Pebble Beach, St Andrews etc are there if you're willing to pay. Cypress Point is private but from what I hear possible to get on if you are determined. Since weather can have a big impact on the Monterrey courses and I am a fair weather golfer, if like the OP asks I have to choose one, that is another reason for Augusta.

Would be St. Andrews for me followed closely by Augusta National.

This is way too hard part of me wants to say augusta, but then PV would be incredible too, then you got cypress. I think the perfect day would be 18 at shin and then hop across the road to NGLA.

So with all that said I'm going to go slightly off the board and say Royal County Down.

Side note: I met the new head pro at Cypress two summers ago and he was a really nice guy. He was playing his brother in law up in Calgary, brought some trinkets and a hat from Cypress for our HP.

Augusta without a doubt.

Augusta National. If you ever qualified or got invited to play in the mack daddy of them all you are at the absolute pinnacle of your craft.

Now winning the damn thing, Im with Bubba dreams dont even go that far.

But since I have no chance to ever play it, I'm actually going to pick a relatively new course and say Streamsong. That's one I'll likely be able to cross off the list in the next few years.

If I'm checking out, make it shadow creek or cascata in Vegas. Maybe I will have time for some other vices before the bell tolls.

I'm with you, any course that can screw with the best players in the world, be under 7,000 and a US Open host is a winner, Okay Pebble fits, but I really want to play Merion.

Springfield Golf and Country Club with my father and my son.

Cape Kidnappers, Play the round then do a triple lindy off one of the cliffs call it good.

Cypress.... Followed by St Andy!
