1 person Myrtle Beach trip

Looks like I'll have a few days at the end of March to play some in Myrtle Beach. Anybody know any golf packages for a single? Doesn't have to include accommodations. Just playing packages.

I just did the exact same thing you're looking to do. I used ambassador golf. Site is MBN.com. They will book tee times for a single. Rates were ok but the convenience was great. Got 3 rounds for $180 including Grande Dunes. Talked to Steve Dembecki who was great.

I am heading down to Myrtle Beach this weekend as a single. Looking for 36 on Sat and 18 Sun am. Is it easy to get paired up if I use a travel service?

Was thinking about just a play and stay at Barefoot. Any other facilities I should be looking at? Course quality and sub 4.5 hr rounds are my priorities.

Try the Witch in East Conway. If you look at their website they have two other courses. I've played all three courses and I usually play as a twosome under 4 hours at the Witch. The others two take longer because there are more folks there. You shouldn't have a problem getting paired up with someone. Hope the weather is good for you!

It is very easy to just book your own. I did my own and played the best courses. I looked at packages and decided against because they always throw in a dog or two.

Just book Barefoot, Caledonia and throw in another 1 or 2.

I think all packagers will accommodate a single. You can also call the courses directly and get a tee time. They will most likely pair you with someone. I do it all the time in MB.

[/quote]I go to Arizona more than I go to Myrtle that being said did quick solo trip to Myrtle in September played Caledonia, True Blue, Heritage, and Kings North got tee time specials from tee up tomorrow for Heritage and Kings North as a single

What am I missing? I go to teeuptomorrow and can't see times for less than 2 people.

[/quote]I think it depends on time of year I went after Labor Day if you call them they can make a tee time for a single

Kings North is a great course. A few other good ones are Pine Lakes, The Moorland course at Legends, and Wild Wing Plantation. Grande Dunes is also good and has already been mentioned. The only bad thing is all the courses upped there rates this past thursday.

When I go there in the spring with the gf.....we book after arrival at the booth in the PGA superstore lobby. Get good rates but can only book out 2 days in advance. I'm pretty sure they'd accomodate a single.

For our fall guys trip.....I use Garrett @ CondoLux. He's always given us great rates.

I've done a couple single getaways for golf in MB, and have had very good success booking as a single at the kiosk in the lobby of what was Martin's and is now PGA Tour Superstore. Sometimes there is an advantage being a single golfer, when a course has an open slot less than 48 hours from tee time. I've booked Heritage, Legends, Grand Dunes, Tidewater, Prestwick, Kings North, Wizard as a single at the kiosk. I never had much success booking through one of the travel agencies as a single player; they all wanted an up charge, or weren't interested in booking a single.
