I have heard that he's been testing a few different shafts this week, including his old Black DI 8X

+1. Be interesting to see if he sticks with it along with the Kiyoshi Black in the fairway

Looks like it must be tipped a boatload. To my eye, there seems to be a lot of the grey graphic between the grip and where the etched ring starts. Looks like much more than many of the other player's drivers we've seen.

Is 2" the most you can tip and still play 45" without an extension?

I noticed that right away also....graphics seemed way down on the shaft.

2.5" tipping would be the most. 46" uncut - 2.5" tipping = 43.5" + .5" for adapter = 44" tip to butt + 1" when installed = 45" playing length. He typically plays his driver at 44.75" so he could actually tip it 2.75" and be ok.

Regardless, that Rogue just became a BEAST.

Wow 2" is crazy. Just a little less than that of the typical driver shaft for a WRXer.

Yes, I believe he was playing the 80gram version of the TiNi with at 10.5 degree D3. I saw this picture from Aldila's Twitter page, kinda looks like a 9.5 on the bottom but hard to tell.

Thanks pga, good closeup of the leather weave belt too. It will be interesting to see what his results are like with that combo. He was claiming increased distance when he switched to the 915. I thought it was interesting that when he made the switch to the 915 he also changed the shaft to the Kuro Kage Silver TiNi. At the time he was talking about trying to keep up with Rory and at that time Rory was using the Kuro Kage in his Covert. Could be coincidence but it seem like it wasn't.

Hope he hits it well this weekend so he gets lots of airtime on TV. I can watch that swing all day long, it's memorizing how good it is.

That is a beast of club and shaft combination! I wonder if anyone has been asking him about the MSI of the shaft? Haha.

Hoping to see a lot of this club in play during the TV coverage. Crazy to think that we've not seen him on the PGA Tour since September.

Opposite Rogue 70 is firmer in the mid and tip than the AD DI 8 if both are untipped. AD DI is firmer in the butt.

With the tipping of 2 inches though I would think the Rogue gets a lot firmer in the hands.

I would think it is the Silver since the tour issue version of the Black is 110 msi, compared the the 95 msi retail Black.
