How did you guys feel about the original Flex driver? I never got to hit one when they were on shelves.

I demoed one, loved it and waited to find a secondhand one. Unfortunately, I bought it when I wasn't hitting any driver well, and soon sold it back.

If I see one in the local second hand golf shop, I will probably pick it up, depending on the shaft. That said, there were no Nike drivers at all in the shop when I went looking yesterday.

There's one locally through a guy that I could pick up. I'm just not sure what the head was like. I've only heard about the pro version the most.

I love mine and still have it. I game the m4 now but I feel that driver would be better for me if I had the same shaft in it as my m4 but even with that being said the flex was the one of the best drivers I’ve hit. One of those clubs I doubt I’d ever sell

I am finding it incredibly difficult to find any sort of Nike Driver in RH in any of the 2nd hand racks round me, or even on Golfbidder for that matter. When they do come up, they are far from cheap ime, still around £170 for a Vapor Fly Pro.
The Blue Thunder: Nike Vapor Fly - 9.5 degree - Speeder Evolution 757X
The Stenson: Nike Vapor Fly 3W - Mitsubishi JvlnFX 74 X-Flex
The Walking Stick: Titleist 818 H2 19 degree - Aldila Rogue Max 85X
The Blades: Nike VR Pro 4i - PW - DG S400 TI Shaft
The Rusties: Nike Engage 50, 54 Square Sole, 58 Toe Sweep
The Putter: Nike "The Oven" Method 003
Balls: Nike RZN Tour Black/Platinum, Bridgestone Tour B XS, Titleist AVX
    Bag: Sun Mountain Four Five

    Also in Rotation:

Driving Iron: Nike Vapor Fly 2 iron - KBS C-Taper 120S
Wedge: Nike Engage 58 Dual Sole
Putters: Yonex Super A.D.X Tour Forged / Scotty Cameron Newport Oil Can / Scotty Cameron California Del Mar

I've had an ebay search up for "Nike Engage 50" for a while now. They pop up from time to time at a reasonable price, but they aren't popping up as often as they used to.

I finally scored what I have been looking for now for quite some time. I picked up a 3-pw set of the Nike Pro Combo Tours from the mid-2000s. They're in pretty good shape with some bag chatter and a couple of the clubs have some nicks in the soles/faces. I am planning to get the heads refinished, just mulling over what finish to get them in. I'm leaning towards a satin chrome finish at the moment, but am also considering a black chrome finish.

I've got new grips, shafts, and ferrules already and can't wait to get them built up. I always wanted these irons so bad when they came out but I was a poor college kid back then. So these are definitely a nostalgia project for me! The real question I'll have to battle when they're finished is whether I game them or not!

I'll try to get some pictures put up after work

LOL.. I still have my original Pro Combo heads sitting in a box somewhere. Pretty sure they are the same as the tour that came later when they added OS model. They were very underrated clubs and well ahead of its time IMHO. I don't recall other ones with Tungsten weights forged in.

I think they were one of the first combo sets sold off the rack (meaning you didn't have to order different models to make up your own combo set) with the Titleist 735.cm set coming around somewhere around that time or a little later as well.

I'm not a club historian, so I don't know if/what any differences were between the original pro combos and the pro combo tours. I just know I didn't like the pro combo/pro combo OS with the badges in the cavities. It certainly appears the 8-pw muscle backs in all those sets were identical.

I don't know what your reference to Tungsten is about?
