Kohler/Whistling Spring Specials announced

Just received the email from Kohler about their discounted specials to play this Spring.

I jumped on this deal 3 times last year, for the $ you cant beat the rates. The most important factor is the weather, it could be 30 or it could be 70 depending on the day. Luckily last year I caught awesome weather.

Keep in mind the Straits course does not include caddie fee of $65 and gratuity (min $40)

Booked! May 3rd we have an 8:10 on the River course followed by a 2:00 at the Straits. Praying for good weather.

I did this two years ago in may and played straits course.... 65 degrees and not a Oz of wind. I am lucky the two times I have played straits I had no wind and perfect weather

Has anyone seen any mention of these deals anywhere yet? They usually hand out a flyer with these rates at the Chicago Golf Show but the Kohler crew was surprisingly absent this year. Curious if anyone has seen any deals at any Wisco. golf shows or emails yet? I'll keep an eye on my emails as well and can post if anything comes out.

Thanks. I'm hopeful that a deal on the Straits and River is announced (similar to the past 5+ years or so) or else I can't see risking the weather on a spring weekend up there this year.

Looks like they're milking PGA Championship publicity a little. I want another shot at the River Course. I doubt they offer a deal on that or the Straits course. The other two courses are already more expensive than last year's deal on the better courses

Yeah I'm going up in May just like I did last year and used the discount then to play the straits course for like $150 or something actually reasonable. Would like to play the River but not at the current price.

I just cancelled my trip and rounds. I'm disabled and can't walk much and they really don't want any disabled on the Straits. Walkers only, basically no one else wanted. Didn't like the overall attitude and decided they didn't need my money since they don't like the disabled. Was going to play about 10-15 rounds there over 8 days so they lost a fair bit of change. But bet they don't care. Using PGA publicity to get players.

They don't have cart paths and many of the walking paths on the straits are no wider than 15 inches so unless you had one of those golf boards or a really small motorized scooter or something it would be almost impossible to do anything other than walk.. Not saying they shouldn't figure out a way to have some sort of alternative for you

Called Kohler today and they wouldn't give me the discounted price.
