Myrtle Beach - Barefoot Course Conditions

Heading down to play all 4 Barefoot course next week. Wondering if anyone has played there this year and could comment on the conditions?

Also, are there yardage books available?

We get some good gamblin going on our yearly golf trip and I'd appreciate any edge I can get. :)

I have a buddy playing there the next four days. I'll ask him when he gets back, but I'm sure they are all in great shape.

The Dye Club is not in good shape at all. Played out there about 2 weeks ago and it was no bueno.

They could've improved since but it was pretty bad

I played out there last April and the Dye course was atrocious then as well. Patches all over the greens. If they haven't improved in a year that is not a good sign for moving forward.

Very surprised to hear about the Dye Club. Hopefully they get it in good shape in time for the annual Hootie & the Blowfish Monday After the Masters Pro-Am.

The other three courses at Barefoot should be in pretty good shape, at least. As for yardage books, they may have done away with them because all the carts have GPS.

hmmmm... well for the greens fee that they charge, I will be sorely disappointed if that is the case. Maybe it was a rough winter and they just need a few weeks of good weather to catch up.

It was definitely a rough winter down here but there are a lot of courses that are in great shape right now. Dye is an awesome design and a challenge for sure, but the conditions when I played in February were 6/10 at best

My buddy played Fazio and Norman yesterday and said both courses were in great shape. He is playing Love and Dye today and I'll get more feedback from him tomorrow.

Buddy played Dye and Love yesterday and said it was in very good shape.

Played the Dye course last week and would consider it in poor shape. Fairways were a mess.

I have never played the Barefoot courses, but the locals I talked to in Myrtle Beach that work in the Golf Industry when I was there last year say the 4 Barefoot courses are way over priced and over rated for the green fees they are charging.

I'm playing the dye easter weekend...the above posts are a bummer. Hope the course is in decent shape when I head down.

My buddy said Dunes Club was nice, but extremely overpriced. All four Barefoot courses were in good shape. Tidewater had the best greens.

I've played about 15 courses now in Myrtle and I would strongly agree with that statement.

We've played the 4 Barefoot courses 2 years in a row, only course issue was at the Norman course - it was wet as sh*t both times. Standing water on greens and tee boxes - and the golf shop had the balls to tell me it was dew. Yet on the 15th tee, the sprinklers were on and we had to dodge it. I think they have something against Greg, they gave him the worst land and water the heck out of it. We'll be back again in October, hopefully the courses are in great shape for us.
