Masters Help Needed

Recommended Posts

I am going to the Masters for the first time and just curious on a few things. First of all what do I get in the pro shop? I work in a clothing store that carries Peter Millar, Polo, Zero Ristriction, and a few others. The reason this matters is because I can get all of this at cost from the companies. I don't want to spend $100+ on a shirt that I can get for $40. I am hoping to get a flag, hybrid headcover and a few other things. How hard are these items to get? From what I've read there is a section that is closed off to most of the public. What's in here and how to get some of this other than being a member? Also I know you can't phones but cameras are allowed is this correct? I will take all the info that any of you have to make my experience more enjoyable!

From the three times I've been there (last time 4 years ago) I don't remember any special area. There is a merchandise pavilion open to the public in the Patron Plaza with pretty much anything you want. The first time I went (about 10 years ago) I remember counting 84 checkout stations in this area. This didn't include a number of free standing sales areas around the course. Everything was reasonably priced.

The different area is from a friend who went a few years back also. I do know he said something about it being pretty easy to checkout. I am just trying to plan out what to get for myself and a few other friends and the best way to do this

The general merchandise stand carries most all of what you are looking for. Some items sellout so go early. Peter Millar has a separate section within the general merchandise store you must wait in line for to enter.

Berckman's Place and the Pro shop are closed to general public. They carry special items there not found in general stand, but you should be able to get a flag with no issue and a hybrid Headcover without a problem

The only name brand items that you will find in the general shop (next to the tournament practice tee) will be Peter Millar, other than that all Masters clothing is Masters own brand. The shops in Berkmans place and the Members Golf Shop (next to the 1st tee) are closed to the public, unless you are a member or a guest of a member. These shops do carry other lines that are not offered in the main golf shop such as Tiffany & Company, Peter MIllar, Vineyard Vines, etc.. When looking for a flag, hybrid cover and few other accessiors these should be easy to find either in the main merchandise pavilion next to the tournament practice range, or either shops by gate 6 or gate 9 or there are also 4 satellite shops set up on the golf course, behind 6 green, right of 8 fairway, behind 12 tee box or left of 14 tee box. These 4 shops carry all the acessiors, and a selection of hats but no apparel

You're not paying for the shirt, you're paying for the Masters logo, which you can't get at cost through any of the companies you do business with.

It's not worth it in my opinion to get the same exact shirt I can get from Peter Millad with a Masters logo when I can get it for less than cost. I am sure the prices are a bit more than what they normally are because of the masters logo. I did know they private label most of their things just didn't know if they did everything or still had the major brands represented. Thank you for the help and I'll be sure to bring enough to maybe get something Scotty Cameron!

If you are looking to get something scotty cameron, get there early as there is a limit of # of scotty items that are sold daily. I know in the past few years they were only sold at the members shop and berkmans place
