Tired of my DGS300's

I've been around the block from DGS300, played PX a couple a times but keep coming back to them. They may not be exciting, but they are a dependable, consistant shaft. I just cant justify the extra 20 bucks a club for the PX any more, and have found that my wedges perform much better with DG than anything else i have put in them.

what about Black Golds?

I tried Black Golds and went straight back to DG. Definitely not a good option if you want a flatter ball flight. These things shoots straight up off the club face. I didn't lose any distance, but I couldn't get used to the ball flight. They also feel totally different...DG is a tip stiff shaft, BG is a butt stiff shaft.

DG and BG should have very similar flights...the main difference is the frequency matching and descending weight design, not ball flight.

you could soft step some X100s a few times to get back to the right CPM (probably not the best idea) but with a heavier shaft or go PX (which has higher INITIAL launch, lower APEX, and lower spin than DG).

I know what you are saying about the DG S300, I never liked the feel of them, harsh is pretty good descriptor for them. It seems that most clubs come stock with them too.

If your concern is harshness try Tour Concept. The smoothest, most "powerful" shaft I have found. The X1s feel much smoother than the X100s but you don't lose any feel or control.

NS Pro would be another to try but there may be issues with ball flight unless you go for the heavier, stiffer models.

Good luck and let us know if you like the Tour Concepts.

how much do the tour concepts run and do the nippon's give you a flatter or a higher ball flight?

Not sure how much they are new. I bought a full set, 3-pw, second hand and a new 2 iron shaft from a great seller on the BST for less than 200 bucks. Probably the best money I have spent on my game as the shafts are spot on.

IMHO, flex for flex, NS will not give you a flatter flight than DG; they should be a tad higher if anything. However, they do feel smoother. Having said that, I can't find much wrong with S300 if that flex suits you.

I just had joe kwok reshaft my 2nd set of 302's with TOUR CONCEPTS. 1st set has rifles, which i thought were smooth

OH MY GOSH!!! THESE SHAFTS ARE UNBEILIEVABLE.

I am hitting irons a full club longer, smoother feel, and i have the ball flight of the DG's. best of all worlds. PERIOD.

should have invested the money last july when Joe first told me about these shafts.

Went to Rifle flighted 6 from dgs300 in mp33's and noticed a nicer trajectory with the same cary distance. NO balooning probs for me, but I think many balooned shots are the players fault anyway. With dgs-300 and mizunos, I always hit it too high and spinny. I think mizunos are just that type of iron, at least the blade like ones.

My current setup is very tidy with the same 6.0 shafts and tm300 forged, I hit it low as it is, and the px shafts hit low for me. I only keep a 6.5 in my 54* because I can carry that 115 if I have too, and it comes in low and spins well. THe s-300 is a soft shaft imo, it seems very flexy to me. It didnt when I was a 15 hcp.

So basically im just tired of my shafts the ball is goin to high for me and i just want a flatter ball flight that doesnt balloon and just an overall shaft that is smoother. any suggestions????

If you want a cheaper option you could bend the lofts a degree strong. Keep in mind that the MP60s (and most Mizunos for that matter) are pretty high launch.
