I have only played Sand Hollow. It's a beautiful course. The front nine is a Links style play and not that difficult. The back nine is the money maker. Some beautiful holes over looking beautiful red rock. It's gorgeous.

From what I have heard, The Ledges is boring. Haven't experienced it myself though. I've ridden my bicycle passed Coral Canyon and it looks beautiful with the red sand. I'm going to play there the next time I head out there.

Haven't played the Ledges so can't comment on it.

Great greens at both Sand Hollow and Coral Canyon. Ample room off the tee, I thought CC might have been just a bit tighter, but still plenty of room to hit driver. Some pretty good up and down holes. There are a couple of holes at CC that if you're above the hole the putt can get away from you quickly.

That stretch of holes on the back nine at Sand Hollow is breathtaking.

I thought both were very playable and enjoyed both of them a lot.

Full disclosure- The Ledges is my home course.

When it opened it was rated one of the best new public courses in the nation. It was sold and the new owners didn't invest as they should have and it showed. The original owners took it back and they have dropped a ton of capital in the course in the last 18 months and it is now in excellent shape. The course was recently reconfigured to 3 sets of tees and the whites have been re-rated and are around 200 yards longer.

IMO it is the best course in the area. The front nine is nice, but the back nine is spectacular. The view on tee #12 overlooking Snow Canyon is definitely a place for a group photo. It's a fair test and not gimmicky. The Fishrock Grill has very good food if you're considering lunch or dinner after.

I've played Coral Canyon and Sand Hollow several times and both are nice. I'm not overly impressed with either although Sand Hollow has some great views. I think the course has a better reputation than deserved though.

I think Sky Mountain is a better option than either of those two. It's a muni but it has some of the best views in the valley and is a lot cheaper often offering golf and lunch combined.

If I were only playing two of the courses it would be Ledges and Sky Mountain. I'd play Coral Canyon over Sand Hollow.

Since you are transitioning between Utah and Nevada, you might consider Wolf Creek in Mesquite.

Yup. That is our 4th course. Really looking forward to it. Looked great on Big Break

I'm not 100% sure here (but someone will be), but I think they played Big Break at one of the Oasis courses. Pretty sure though that it wasn't Wolf Creek.

Yes, the Big Break was at the Oasis. I believe, The Palmer course.

Exactly. Oasis, Falcon, Contestoga and Wolf Creek are all the same tricked up canyon golf course. Golf in mesquite is pretty boring for that reason. If any of the other courses had spent the money to be on a video game they would be famous.
