Cleveland CG11

Cleveland Golf, the makers of the most famous wedges in golf are proud to introduce the CG11 wedge, the latest offering from their line of clubs made from the revolutionary CMM metal.

CG11 wedges are comparable to the original CG10 wedges in that they offer golfers of all handicaps an great-feeling wedge that is both versatile and dependable. They both also have similar spin and ball flight characteristics, but the new CG11 wedges also offer extra stability and forgiveness.

When put side by side with the CG10 wedge, the new CG11 wedges feature a slightly larger sole that is wider toward the heel and toe and narrows in the center. Weight is also redistributed to the perimeter of the clubhead, creating a unique stability chamber. This helps you maintain your clubhead stability through impact, even on off-center hits. And just like the rest of the wedges in the CG line, the new CG11 wedges come with precision milled grooves to give you the best possible spin control.

The CG11 wedges are the most technologically advanced wedge that Cleveland Golf has ever made. No matter what level of player you are, these wedges will help you get up and down on a more consistent basis.

Well here goes for a new guy, I love my new 52*. Today was up near 50* and after the weather we have had in recent weeks it felt like shorts weather. The range still had a lot of snow and I was hitting rocks off of mats...BUT... first impressions were very good. The head felt very stable and yardage on off center hits was not far off. Easy to hit both mid and hi traj shots and my yardage was right where I was hoping to fill my gap. 115 down to 80ish. The 58* DSG can handle most from there on in and the CG11 looks like a good setup for chipping. I was playing a Gunmetal 53* and for the full shots it left a little to be desired but after today I think the forgivness factor of the CG11 has won me over...now if only Spring can get here!

I bought the 52 degree wedge as a gap wedge and I loved it. It was great for chipping around the green and good on full shots.

I liked it so much I bought the 56 and 60 2 dot medium bounce. Unfortunalty the 56 and 60 wedges just did not cut the mustard or at least the sand. I like to play a lot of flop shots around the green and splash shots's out of bunkers. I could not play either shot with these clubs. The grind on the sole just did not work for me. I thined all my flop shots and got no height on any bunker shots.

My conclusion is there good clubs for hitting streight shots but if you want to open the blade forget it they have too much bounce on.

I still play with the 52 as it's great for chiping. I have put the GC11 56 and 60 up for sale and replaced them with some spin milled Vokeys. Instantly my old short game returned with the vokeys. The first bunker shot I hit landed 3 foot next to the hole. You can open up the vokeys and flop all day!

Great wedge, especially for us without perfect ball striking. Love my 54* for chipping around the green and full shots. I have a 58* that I will probably sell soon. Tried a friend's CG15 and it outperformed the CG11 in the sand and on flop shots. I've never been very consistent with my flop shots and would have to put a bit of blame on the club after trying the CG15.
