Best modern shaft for Ping Eye 2 BeCu?

I apologize if this has been asked before. I couldn't find a forum search button.

I have a beautiful set (3-LW) of restored Ping Eye 2 BeCu heads. I was planning on installing the old Ping Novus CFP 57 shafts into these heads to build out a true vintage looking set. The plan is for these to be at least part time gamers. Not just "museum pieces". I was able to find and buy a full set of CFP 57 shafts on eBay, but upon arrival would you believe they were not in the best condition? Large bag rub marks. What are the odds right? LOL.

So now I am looking for a few replacement CFP 57s. I know there are a couple on eBay. I have been watching them for over a year. Probably need more.

But now I am actually considering the possibility of using modern shafts. Veylix is a top brand, but are they a good fit with older heads?

I am curious to know what the experts here would recommend.

I would suggest using the shaft that fit you best. It doesn't matter what age/what head. I actually asked this question on here about a year ago. I belive I ended up throwing in some KBS Tour shafts into Eye 2 heads.

First I would check the hosel bore. Some Ping graphite irons had parallel tip shafts in them. Those red Novus shafts looked great but were very stiff. I'm thinking modern shafts in my V groove set of Eye 2's. Steel with the same bend profile as the Microtapers in them now, just more flexible.

Old thread, but I just put a set of UST SmacWrap Recoil 780 ES F3 shafts in a set of BeCu PE2+ irons that I bought on eBay. Used 6 g of lead tip weight and lengthened them to +1/4” over modern shaft lengths. Absolutely love em. When hit properly they feel as if there is no ball there. Wish Ping would reintroduce a modern version of this club with modern shaft selections and a similar but non hazardous alloy. I am hitting these nearly as far as my PXG 0311 Gen 1’s. No joke.
