Emblems falling of the "N"

Has anyone had the silverish chrome colored "N" emblem on the the R5s fall out revealing the yellowish one underneath?

What is going on with them and can they be replaced? I don't like the look with the yellow?

Anyone know where to get a replacement?

Does it impact performance or sound at all?

It must happen a lot. When the TM van was at my local shop on Sunday, they had a bag of r5's for fitting purposes and just about all of them had the yellow underneath N not the silver one.

just take it back to your local repair shop if you still have the logo they should be able to fix it for you...if not just have your shop send it back to taylormade...but if youre concerned about performance the badge doesnt really do anything...

the samething happened to me, i glued it back on but it just kept on falling off, i didnt see the reason to send it back to TM because my rep would have just sent me a new driver. i know it may not look the best but you cant possibly see it from address!

Actually I don't think it's a heat issue. I played my last round in cold 35* weather and my silver emblem popped off revealing the yellow one below. Unfortunately I didn't notice until too late, so I lost the silver one completely.

I say, tape it off, and use some silver spray paint and be done with it. It's a piece of plastic and holds no intrinsic value or properties for weight balance for the club anyway. It was a way to fill the gap between the weight ports. No big deal really.

i haven't heard anything about that affecting the club performance whise, but i used to have that problem with an old Ping ISI Tec back in the day, im sure you guys remember that lil weight thingy in the back, used to always fall off, and that DID affect performance, but i couldn't tell a difference

This happened to me too. . . and it was in cold weather (45*). I did not notice until I was home from the range. I have done some research and cannot find anyone who has them. . . . although I have found plenty of people who need them. TM will just replace the driver if you send it back . . . but that is only if you have not pulled the shaft and nixed the warranty already.

I think when spots said Heat he was talking about the heat from the process where the head is actually made weakened the glue, not the heat from the weather.
