Personally I think someone like Trump running for President is a terrible idea. Someone who is so connected and invested in business and financial deals all over the world running the US ecomony??? Talk about some SERIOUS conflicts of interest.

As far as his comments about Mexico, well that is a tough sell for me. Lets be clear he was talking about ILLEGAL immigrants, and while his choice of words were questionable, he does have a fairly obvious point. Taken out of context they are inflammatory, but when you can make a big mistake like that on the podium announcing your candidacy for President that is an awful way to get started.

Exactly, illegal immigrants are deemed "illegal" because they ignored the immigration laws of this country and circumvented the process for which so many others wait in line. Trump has a right to say whatever he wants and he is correct. Maybe he's sick of the U.S. being the world's benefactor and doesn't want millions admitted to the country, most of whom would end up on the dole.

Maybe we should read the rules and terms of posting here

The overreactions to this PC attitude is crazy. Bubba is going to PAINT the General Lee because they no longer like the confederate flag on top. I mean you have to rename the car as well, General Lee was only the GENERAL of the Confederate Army...

I am surprised because there a lot of people who think along the same lines as MR Trump. Good stance by the PGA but you know there is hidden racism everywhere you go. Lets not be naive.

One man's PC is another man's racism.

The confederate flag represents a failed attempt at a nation that endorsed and fought for slavery. To deny that is just silly.

No one is saying folks can't fly that flag on private property, but we're gonna judge you for the actions you choose to take.

Nothing. They made a blanket statement that they did not support or agree with Trumps comments made in the televised announcement of his candidacy. I am sure in the next few days, probably Monday, the Tour will release some type of detailed statement. The Tour, the Euro Tour, the USGA, and the PGA are all holding events on Trump courses this year and next year so I know they will say or do something.

I can understand making a point that the US should be making sure the borders are secure from criminals, terrorists, and dangerous drug cartels funneling drugs; that legalized immigration should be promoted. No other country currently thinks differently about this.

However, the way in which he tries to make that point is nuts to me. His comments are inflammatory to say the least, and the rapist comment was the nail in the coffin. Having lived in border states, I didn't see people that wanted to do those things... I saw people willing to bust their butts everyday to make a better life for their families. To paint a picture as broad as he did is pretty shocking. I can't understand how he thinks he can be a presidential candidate and say stuff like this, even if he's thinking it.

Obviously he owns a lot of golf courses that host professional golf events, and even majors. I think the governing bodies will release a statement to cover their butts from this thing and take no other actions. Kind of along the lines of, we don't agree with anything Trump said, but that's about it.

I'm sure Bubba will not play in any Trump endorsed tournaments since he is such a stand up guy and all.
