Do you have a golf store around you? The one by me sells them.
You know, I really don't anymore. Had one close, but it closed up shop. It's no big deal though, I'll just check some other stores and get some when I come across them, or just buy the older ones.
If they don't shoot up to $29.99 a box thanks to this thread, that is.
Quick observation after playing this ball for a few rounds. In comparison to the Supersoft, it seems like the 50 is very long off the shorter clubs and shorter of the longer clubs. Seems I begin to lose distance from my 6 hybrid to my driver. 7 & 8 iron seems to be on par and 9 iron to my LW seems to be too long. Has anyone noticed anything similar?
Ok forget what I said. Hit a 260 yard drive today followed by a 194 yard 6 hybrid. Swing still needs a bit of work I guess, what else is new :-) Took my 12 year old son out today. He was spinning 40 yard approach shots into the green with a PING Eye2 lob wedge that put the breaks on like a Pro V1. The Fifty is truly and incredible ball at an incredible value.

I think some folks are forgetting to factor in swing issues too when saying a ball is or isn't do this or that. When the results are atypical of the majority, there is probably an underlying issue other than the ball. Glad to see you are enjoying them!
As for the rest of the folks reading this thread no more commenting for a month so Wilson doesn't raise prices..
To follow up on my earlier post, this Wilson 50 ball is really growing on me. I think the more familiar you become with this ball the more you will like it. One round is not enough IMHO to fully evaluate and appreciate how solid of a performer this ball is. The price is attractive and honestly is part of the reason along with the positive talk here that got me to consider moving from playing a premium ball to giving this ball a try. But with that said price alone would not have kept me playing it, the ball had to perform comparably to what I have been playing and it does. I would say it is adequate of the tee, I personally lose a few yards with the driver compared to the premium ball I play, but iron, and wedge play is very good and I like how this ball feels off the putter. I expect this 50 ball to only get better going into the fall and early spring with lower temps and the 50 compression I believe it will continue to impress.
Well earlier this week I went and purchased 3 more boxes so I have plenty to last me for a while. Each ball lasts me around 2 rounds if I don't hit a cart path.
I went again today in 15mph winds (consistent winds) with gusts around 30mph. This ball flew dead straight. Only reason it would go left or right was because of the wind. It was nice to know I could aim towards a bunker and let the wind move the ball where I wanted it to go.
Again no issues with distance, or spin near the green. Continue to play well with this ball.

Okay last time I will post in this thread. Final update to switching. Since making the move I have hit 64% fairways and almost 70% GIR. Both are big improvements.

For some reason I play better with 2 piece soft 'distance' balls than multi-layer urethane cover balls?!
less side spin?
I actually hit very well with multi layer urethane and i like the extra spin on the green but losing a lot of distance in the wind is something i can't deal with. I played well with ProV1 and professional before that but found ProV1X to be better
50 is a very good compromise in spin in exchange of soft feel and good penetration through the air
This is a great golf ball. I picked up a dozen on Thursday and went out and shot a 79. I love the way it feels. It was great around the greens and felt great off of the putter.
I am sorry to bring this thread back to the top again but i had to comment.
These balls are LEGIT! I played a course i dont normally play today and in the proshop they had 50 elite logo balls for $1.25 so i grabbed two and went to play.
Exactly what you guys said i would get out of them, i got out of them. I put them up against my favorite ball, the TaylorMade Project (a) and they held their own. The 50's were a touch softer off the club face than the PA's. The ball flight of the 50's was absolutely gorgeous. No wind, so i couldnt determine that how they held up. The spin was way better than any other surlyn ball i have ever played. Now of course they didnt back up like my PA's did, but I had no more roll out than a few inches from my divot. I am not a high ball hitter either. I keep my ball flight low and these things stopped. The only downfall is i like a hard ball off the putter for feel and these are kind of soft, but something easily adjusted too.
I will definitely buy more, especially the color ones. I dont think I will make them my gamers as i feel i need all the help i can get with a urethane ball, but if my budget is ever tight, these will be tee'd up!
I have been playing these for a few weeks now and I continue seeing positive things. Scores have not changed all that much, however with that said I have shot my 2nd and 4th best rounds of the year with this 50 ball.
The 50 ball is holding it's own off the tee, not as long as my former gamer, but I am with in 5 yards,I can easily live with that and I have picked up a additional fairway or two per round, the 50 ball is proving to be pretty straight off the driver , so that's a trade off I'll take. Like others have said the 50 is not going to back up, but it is a hit and stop type ball, and feel off the putter is fine by me. The more I play the 50 the more I am learning how to play it. Over the past couple rounds I am not trying to shape it off the tee much at all I am looking for a straight to baby fade type shot a true definition of point and shoot, It will draw or cut, but for me it is a exaggerated move to make it happen and I haven't really had the need. I am looking to hit spots on approaches having figured out I am not seeing much role-out and knowing the 50 is not going to back up off the green I am shooting at way more pins with this ball. My putting has been killing me all year so I am going through a putter change. I have a few I am rotating through to find a gamer. I like a solid milled face putter(no insert) with this ball. The 50 is soft enough and I feel I get better feedback with a solid milled face putter.
Its been allot of fun playing with the ball. I am trying different things and it has been responding, so I think I am guessing right..LOL.
A playing partner calls it a novelty that will ware off, but until it happens I am going to continue to game it. I gave him a dozen with a note that said "don't worry I have extras, I got three for the price of one." Really price aside, as I said before price alone would not keep me playing this ball, it has to perform and it has.
Played with the Orange Fifty's today and I'm really liking them more than the white and the yellow. They seem to have more depth to my eye. More 3D than 2D if that makes any sense.
Been playing the orange for a few months now. Continue to prefer it to the white and yellow. I'll go back to white than use the yellow. Not a fan at all of Wilson yellow.
Still prefer this ball to almost anything I have played.
Played my first round with the Elite 50 along side my usual ball, the Q-star.
Pretty much identical performance in terms of distance and play greenside although feeling off the putter is much softer though not as mushy as the super soft.
The 50 of course beats every other ball on price.
I played the yellow but it's not my favorite. Has a stored under water look to it. I may well give the orange a go when I by my next box of balls
Love yellow balls, but not a fan of the 'translucent' yellow of the 50s. Went with white instead. Love the yellow of the Cally SS and DT Solo. Q star looks good too from pic. above.

The Cally Chrome Soft yellow would be my favorite. Seems to light up at low light
Those in Canada might be interested in that Golf Town are doing 2 boxes for $26.99 and free delivery over the next 2 days
Worked @ G.T. Got them for $18 DDz. /wink.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=';)' /> Best bang for the buck out there, IMO. Just wish they would change their 'yellow'.

Best ball. Don't know even know what to say about it anymore. I'd rather play it , all things considered than insert premium ball here.
