Warrick's WITB - Titleist takeover?

Recommended Posts

I have been on here for close to 2 years, and quickly became a big ho, went through a bit of everything.

I decided to do this now as things are pretty set at the moment. I do have a new gen 70S Whiteboard on the way for the BC+, and a Big T CS V-Line, but other than that, am verry happy with my bag.

Driver - BC+ with custom SLDR finish from Continental Golf - Matrix Red Tie - 44" NDMC Platinum

4W - Cally RFE - Diamana D+ 82 - 42" - White Iomic 2.3

3-4-5 irons - Mizuno MP H5 - KBS C-Taper 120S - NDMC 1up

6-7 irons - Mizuno MP 54 - KBS C-Taper 130x SSx1 - NDMC - 1.5up

8-9-P - Mizuno MP 64 - KBS C-Taper 130X - NDMC 2up

Wedges: Cleveland RTX CB - 50 (10) - 54 (14) - 58 (12) - iomic sticky 2.3

Putter: Odyssey Tank Cruiser V-Line - 35" - SS Flatso 2.0 XL - Modified for Tank counter weights

Ball: TM Tour Preferred X

Bag: 2015 Ogio Silencer Cart Camo blk/wht

Best 9 of year: -2 (33)

Worst: 45

Best 18 of year: +2 (73)

Worst: 87

I do not have an official HDCP, but am right in the 9-10 range.

Mental Game: none

I am not overly tall, feel more comfortable with shorter woods. Anyone around here knows, if you're a chopper, better have some lead tape around.

Thanks.

Love the clubs, and that finish on the BC+ has got to be one of my favorites, if not my favorite. I like it even better than my own eggshell finish. Where are the 330M style putters? Or did you get rid of those?

I did. I really did not care for the feel on the Protype, too firm for me, and the v-line was just not getting kicked out by the 330. I traded them for a brand new Big T #5, which I really like so far. That new fusion insert rolls the ball really nice.

Thanks, the black eggshell with sight dot is what inspired me...

My BigT CS V-Line should be here today/tomorrow.

IMO, the V-line alignment is even better than the fabled #7 models and 330M, but I know it's all personal. The only problem is that I have been making more putts with the 330M, and we all know that's what matters. I'm telling you, I need a plumbers neck V-line...

I am pretty sure I saw on of those on here not lonag ago, almost purchased.

I am excited to try this CS BigT V-Line, heard nothing but rave reviews so far.

I agree, results are what matters.

I guess i will have to do a quick update with pics next week.

The new driver shaft will be in Monday, new BigT V-Line CS and new 815 Alpha fwy wood to replace the RFE.

That lasted long didn't it....

You ain't no 9-10 with a 73 on the card
[/quote]

I have some game, but it rarely works in unison on the same day. I shot 83 with 41 putts earlier this year.

When the putter works, pulling the irons, or swiping across the driver. When ball striking is on, can't sniff the cup.

I posted that I had no mental game.

The main reason I got the Silencer Cart Bag, there was a post on here with a 40% off Ogio code, was good on anything, lasted about 2 days. I got the Silencer for $138 shipped (steal). I am so happy with it, and no iron covers needed for the forged sticks. IMO it is a great bag, very happy with purchase.

I am not sure at this point if it's the putter , or the new SS Pistol grip. I grabbed one and put it on the Works #7 which was my back up, but fell in love with it.

I normally use the original tank cruiser #7 with the WHP insert, so have another Pistol2.0 in the other color on the way for the Tank Cruiser.

I am guessing the WHP insert will go back in, just love the feel of it. I will know soon, other grip will be in tomorrow.

I have a few changes, not sure I can do much more, and everything is backed up by the identical club or very close.

I am testing the SubZero today, trying to knock out the 815 DBD, put a black tie in the 3 wood, went to full MP5 set (5-P), and put the Tank Cruiser #7 back in. The cally 816 3 wood and hybrids are new back ups on the bench until called.

Now that you've had the MP5s for some time, how would you compare them to your old MP64s? I'm debating between waiting for the iblade irons or buying MP5s. Was thinking to pair either one with the new PX LZ shafts (6.5).

Just bought an 815 hybrid for S+Gs given your positive comments. Got a great deal, so couldn't resist.

My next immediate purchase will likely be SM6s 50f, 54s, 58s with KBS 610 wedge shafts.

I will not be your friend if you order new MP5's with those new LZ shafts....lol.

IMO, the 5's are NO less forgiving than the 64's. I never went deeper in the bag with the 64's, did the combo with 54's, but really had no concerns going to the 5 in the 5's. They let you get away with just a little bit. The feeling is definitely softer/better. One hell of an iron Mizzy worked out here.

I am a big fan of the LZ driver shaft, have one I swap out in the 3 wood also, and would love to try the exact combo you refer to.

I also picked up the SM6's when I grabbed the SubZero yesterday, they look filthy. I have never owned a Titleist club, but the black one I picked up made me drool a bit.

You have good taste.

Really funny...our taste in clubs seems to be very similar. I have an Ogio silencer as well...lol. I finally had some good range time with my 815 (non DBD) and dialed in the settings. I also bought the Ping G driver with a fuji pro tour spec 73X. Been playing Ping drivers since the G25, but I'll tell you that after dialing in the 815 I'm super impressed. Excellent feel, flight and seemingly (have played little golf with work/wife/2 yr old baby responsibilities) distance. Seems to be about 10 yards longer than the G driver for me. Playing tomorrow for the first time in weeks, so we'll see.

I had no business grabbing a SubZero, but it was the only driver making me wonder, and with the trade in thing, was a no brainer. I did not get along as well with the 816 DBD at a fitting.

I will have no issue admitting I am mortal if I can't hit it, will just dump it and throw the 815 back in.

I have had fun tinkering along the way, but I have found the stuff i really like now, will only be small adjustments for a while now.

Yeah, i hear yah on the SZ. Hard to resist with the bad arse name... Lol. Btw, although I'm not currently gaming the white board in the 815 (gonna stick with the Kiyoshi white for now) I have hit it extremely well. WB is stout but really nice.

Need to dial my game and bag in soon because I have an exemption into a local pro event (WGA Open) for winning a WGA amateur event last year.

I need to start one if these witb posts.
