Muni Lily He: The Official Discussion Thread

Did anyone see coverage of Muni Lily He on Fox Sports at this year's U.S. Women’s Open? At only 16, she was the only amateur to break par in the opening round, carding a 2-under 68. Her swing is amazing and I hope we get to see more of it.

Let's reserve this thread to discuss all things Muni!

Come guys don't be shy. Legit, 4 Way, Farell, Arg anyone?? Even the Beatle and Winger waited until the young ladies were 17 before they would write about them.

The times, they are a changing. A 16 year old from mainland China already committed to USC. This would have been unthinkable only a few years ago. Actually, I think it is great that someone is stealing the attention from Brooke Henderson as far as the young phenom stuff goes.

No, not a Brooke hater, just a realist. She is on the path to becoming the next Cristie Grrr the way she is being steered now by her father, in my opinion. If you get to an event, watch the difference between Team Brooke and Team Charley Hull. Night and day.

I read in the USWO thread that someone thought Muni might be a tough one to like, or words to that effect. I'll reserve any thoughts I have until she gets in to that other LA college. University of Spoiled Children. Hmmm. Might fit right in.

She will be tough to like. My co worker said it perfectly after her warm up:

As a USC alum I approve of Muni. I approved as soon as I saw her in that tight white blouse on opening day. She'll fit right in.

FYI, there's TV coverage today on Golf channel for the NCAA championship.

Nothing says Symetra Tour cannon fodder like +13 thru 47 holes in the NCAA's. Yeah I know, tough conditions but -2 leads right now.

Muni He makes me want to run for the hills. I don't think I'm ready for this jelly. Doing my best to enjoy ladies golf before the eventual takeover. Because when she finally busts out, everything is going to change. She is going to make Paige look like a hobbyist IMO.
