The TW line ....

With the demise of Tiger, I've noticed a lot of his line being in Ross, and Marshalls. I've picked up a couple shirts there as well as off other sites with them extremely marked down..... Are we going to soon see Nike pull his line, or will we see it continue for some time? I just think no one wants to buy a $100 polo of a guy who can't make cuts.

What are your guys thoughts on this?

I'll buy em on sale for sure! Not full price.

When was the last time Michael Jordan did anything? Are his shoes still selling?

I don't think his line will end anytime soon. As for the discount stuff it's likely 2014 leftovers and they are discounting the 2015 ss stuff to make room for the 2015 aw release.

Seems like in the past there wasn't much leftover TW stuff that needed to be discounted. For me, I'm now more likely to wear TW because he's the pro who plays most like I do. The standard bearer for the bogey golfer.

newsflash: Tiger Woods (14 major wins) plays nothing like you do. HE is one of the greatest golfers to play the game. Also, why would you wear something just because you think hes similar to you? do you not have your own sense of style?

Calm down he's just saying TW doesn't play well anymore. I know you are the president of the TW fan club but relax.

I've seen TW polos in T.J Maxx, Ross, and Marshalls the last 5-7 years if not more. They've always carried the prior years styles, nothing new and not because he's playing poorly the past 2-3 years.

Can anyone find sales numbers on Tigers line and compare it to the Jordan Brand? I've only seem to see what Tiger signed his Nike deal for. But you can't really be serious when you compare Tigers line to Jordan's. It's night and day, Tiger has his own line of golf spikes, but doesn't even wear them, I can bet Nikenwasnt thrilled about that, and we can all hope for a retro TW spike, but probably will get another Jordan Spike before the retro never happens. He has a very small clothing line compared to Jordan's empire that is the Jordan Brand. Jordan Brand has got from just being a basketball brand, to now a lifestyle brand, and branching into golf shoes as well.

I'm not complaining about Tigers pools being discounted, but I can see shortly in the coming years, Nike could downsize the TW brand even more than it already is. Will we see a new TW golf shoe? Jordan Brand is only going to continue to expand IMO.

I picked up 4 2015 spring shirts for 40 bucks Canadian each not too shabby.

As a major TW Fan and TW clothing line investor, there is no way i'm going to pay $100+ for a shirt that i may wear a couple times a year at most. I would do it if the shirts were like the old TW collection that had the platinum placket on the sleeve. They were great golf course and work shirts. However, the new TW collection shirts are made with a much more athletic material which isn't really conducive for office wear IMO. Also, as Tiger has gotten worse Nike has actually gone up on their prices. Frankly, it's laughable.



Edited: I do still buy the current TW collection shirts, but i don't pay full retail. I have a couple of sources (Teegolfclub.com and GCPickers.com) and buy my shirts through them.

My customers buy the TW shirt because of the quality of the shirt, not because it's a TW.

IMO, the TW line of shirts are my favorite and i feel the quality and finish are the best out there. HOWEVER, they are not worth $110 in anyway. eBay is a great place to buy them a few months after they are released.

My PGA Superstore has a TW Red Glow on the shelf right now for $110. You can get that shirt for $65 on eBay with no tax and free shipping.

Nike is not going to pull the TW line. Next years is looking good, nice color ways.

I've seen some in those stores, not a lot. But the most I've seen has been in Ross. I've seen 4-5 at one time there.
