I will be in Las Vegas for work during the middle of September and was hoping to get a few rounds in. Ive been to Vegas and played several times (not in mid-Sept). As I started plotting my course on what/when/where to play, I noticed that many/most of the courses are closed during certain times of September for aerification/maintenance. I am unsure if I will have a car at this point and am staying at Mandalay Bay. Im hoping there may be some insight and suggestions on how to plan around or what courses are not in the typical rotation for the maintenance.

Courses I have played out there for Reference: Bali Hi, Wynn, Vegas National, Paiute (all), Las Vegas Golf Club, & Royal Links.

Thanks guys and gals!!

Best bet is to call the course the week before you play. Some close, some punch the greens, and the schedules sometimes change.

First of all... get a car. Gives you many more choices.

Look at places which have two or three courses on the same property as they are unlikely to punch/ re-seed both courses at the same time.

Paiute is always a great bet as they have three awesome tracks and their own water supply which means they don't have to re-seed in the same way most arid courses do.

www.lasvegasgolfadventures.com normally publishes all the schedules.

    Have fun and enjoy

Boulder Creek has 27 holes and they only close one nine at a time.

Boulder Creek, Primm Valley, or Bear's Best seem to be about the only decent options. Im renting a car. What say you about the choices?

Since you're staying at Mandalay Bay ... get your techno on at the Light Club. Good people watching.

    Primm over seeds and punches

    Bears best over seeds

Boulder Creek will have one good nine and the other will be fresh out of overseed

Paiute advertised no maintenance but punches the greens

Coyote Springs only course not doing anything

Revere Lexington is closed right now for overseed, then they will close the concord. expect cart path only and pretty thin conditions on the fairways anywhere you play this time of year.

When in town I avoid playing right after overseeding. Cartpath only, most courses still don't allow walking, and it's a 5 hour round.

If you can get a round in before 9/21, GO PLAY MOUNTAIN FALLS GOLF CLUB in Pahrump. It's a 40 minute drive from the South Point Casino but man, I played there this passed Saturday and the course is in BEAUTIFUL shape. It's worth the drive, I promise you. If you can't get in until after 9/21-9/22 then just take note the greens will be aerated.
