Cameron collection or Sim for the garage

Not sure if this is posted in the right place.

I am trying to decide if I should sell my Cameron collection to buy a Sim for my garage. I can't do both its one or the other. I have a few putters and covers that would cover most of the cost for the Sim. What would you guys do?

I'm thinking you should:

- Sell the Cameron stuff
- Buy the sim
- Leave your garage door open at all times
- Offer free lifetime memberships to friends and family
- Keep the fridge fully stocked

I'm not much of a collector but I would much rather have the sim. I suppose if you use the putters in your collection then it's different, but I'd rather have something I can actually use over putters hanging on the wall.

Thanks for the replies I honestly didn't think it would be that much of a landslide. In response to what I have, I have Circle T putters with head covers I bought at the Gallery when I was there in Match.

The collection is to look at, the sim is to improve. Which is more important?

No contest. SIM. And when you are done post pics for us to drool over.

I'd go with the Sim. I don't need a bunch of putters to look at. But that's just me.

Definitely the simulator. I have 3 putters, and I'm really considering selling one of them so I can re-up my slush fund.

[/quote]I love you dude. A pm was coming. I'm actually in the process of installing and building my simulator and southwest greens at the house. I will always say that being as good of a golfer as possible will always outweigh cool collectibles. At the end of the day the scratch golfer will always be cooler than the guy with cool stuff in my honest opinion. That being said, simulators aren't needed to get better unless you live up north with a 5 month golf season.

What kind of sim are you wanting? You can get the optishot 2 under $300. Can buy a simulator screen under a few hundred and building a platform for it all under $100.

Well I do live in western PA, how do you like southwest greens. I ended up getting a Pro Putt green for that. I'm in the process of getting a GC2 from a fellow WRX member.

[/quote]Solid deal on the GC2 that was from Florida. Long story short, a golf store was remodeling so putting in an HD simulator (test run this weekend) and I am not sure exactly what will happen with the southwest green. It is currently in the garage with a few thousand pounds of sand (the top mixture with the silica) in 18 gallon totes . I don't think its going to be worth installing inside in the event we move.
